Feburary 2015 - May2015 Lajna Imaillah Australia’s dâtÜàxÜÄç axãáÄxààxÜ Promised Messiah’s (a.s.) saying Hadith The Holy Quran Editor : Amber Khan Editor in-chief : Sabiha Farooq Managing Editor : Anjum Khan The month of Ramadan is that in which the Qur’an was sent down as a guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination. Chapter 2: Verse 186 “He who is amongst those who pray will be called from the gate of the prayer (in Paradise) and he who is from the people of Jihad will be called from the gate of Jihad, and he who is from those' who give in charity (i.e. Zakat) will be called from the gate of charity, and he who is amongst those who observe fast will be called from the gate of fasting, the gate of Raiyan." Abu Bakr said, "Will anyone be called from all those gates, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "Yes, and I hope you will be among those, O Abu Bakr." [Imam Bukhari] “The month of Ramadan is that in which the Qur’an was sent down…’ is a phrase which informs of the magnitude of Ramadan. He also said that due to this magnitude, the reward of fasting is also very high and great. However, this is for those who also pay the dues of the correlation between fasting and the Holy Qur’an and those dues are to read the Holy Qur’an while fasting, to reflect over it, to listen to or read its commentaries.” Friday Sermon dâtÜàxÜÄç axãáÄxààxÜ February 2015 - May 2015 Lajna Imaillah Australia Allah the Exalted has explained to us in the Holy Qur’an the significance and status of the Holy Qur’an, the need to put it in practice, how to put it in practice, for whom is the Qur’an a life-giving source, what effects it has on human life and many other countless matters. This is so that not only we may put this great law-bearing Book in practice to facilitate our spiritual, religious and moral development, but also our worldly progress. ……The blessings of the month of Ramadan have been linked to the Holy Qur’an and thus a connection has been established. By connecting Ramadan to the Holy Qur’an the significance of Ramadan has been further highlighted. (July 11th , 2014) 1. The event was organised at the PB Ronald Reserve, Corner of Henry and John Street Pakenham. The event had an entry fee for any participants of the show but by the grace of Allah almighty the Jamaat was offered 2 free Marquees at the show. The participation included the setting of the book stall by the Tabligh department as well as a Ladies Marquee for the fundraising for Humanity First through various items as applying Henna and selling bangles. Lajna Imaillah Melbourne East Victoria Jamaat was honoured to have 15 Lajna members along with Sadar Sahiba Melbourne East who participated in the event as a group of Jamaat members. The stall was started with Dua and among the few things that were organised by the Lajna were Henna stall and Bangles store. As part of the stall 500 pamphlets were distributed and Jamaat’s introduction was given to the ladies who came to the stall. It was a terrific response as Ladies from the whole show were coming to get the Henna applied on their hands. Even though it was our first opportunity to raise funds for Humanity First by applying Henna, it was a very successful experience. We raised about $250 just by applying Henna. And a total amount of $453.44 was collected. Everyone at the event appreciated the presence of the group with few people who were also angry on the other side just because they didn’t know the message of Islam and didn’t want to know any further with all the current issues and misleading by the other sects. There were some good and healthy conversations as well and people also appreciated the idea of peace and no terrorism. The true concept of Jihad was also discussed along with the true basic teachings of Islam. They said that it is good what we are preaching and the message should be sent out to the whole world. We had a very good day with everyone having good conversations with the ladies attendees especially about the basic belief of the Jamaat, Pardah, Humanity First and Red Cross Door Knock Appeal organised by our Jamaat in Australia. The Lajna also had the chance to explain what we will be doing with the fundraising with the help of the information photographs being set on the entrance of the stall.
