Liebe Einkäufer, Händler und Aussteller,
Dear buyers, retailers, and exhibitors,
am Anfang war die PREMIUM eine Revolution: Die Idee, dem Handel in
einem leerstehenden U-Bahn-Tunnel in Berlin die weltbesten sowie viele
neue Kollektionen aus allen modischen Segmenten zu präsentieren, gar ein
ganz neues Segment zu definieren, schlug in der Modewelt ein wie eine
Bombe. In zehn Jahren hat sich die PREMIUM zu einer der wichtigsten Businessplattformen und einem internationalen Trendbarometer entwickelt.
Weltweit gibt es keine vergleichbare Messe für hochwertige Mode in dieser
Größe und Qualität. Im Januar 2013 feiert die PREMIUM zehnjähriges Jubiläum – ein Anlass, die vergangenen Jahre Revue passieren zu lassen.
Als wir 2003 starteten, hatten wir eine klare Vision – für die PREMIUM, aber
auch für die Stadt Berlin. Um eine Idee dieses Ausmaßes in ein Erfolgs
konzept umzuwandeln, benötigt man klare Vorstellungen, Kreativität, Idealismus und eine gute Portion Durchhaltevermögen. Auf unternehmerischer
Seite sind vor allem langfristig angelegte Strategien und zielgerichtete
Maßnahmen gefragt.
In den vergangenen zehn Jahren haben wir viele Hürden genommen und in
dem Prozess tatsächlich alle Aggregatzustände menschlicher Gefühle kennengelernt – von Wut und Ärger bis hin zu tiefer Zuneigung und Dankbarkeit. Zuneigung und Dankbarkeit empfinden wir vor allem Ihnen gegenüber.
Denjenigen, die an uns geglaubt haben und die uns ihr uneingeschränktes
Vertrauen geschenkt haben. Dankbar sind wir aber auch für alle neuen
Geschäftsbeziehungen, die wir über die Jahre aufgebaut haben.
Ein Jubiläum ist auch ein Anlass, in die Zukunft zu blicken. Sicher ist, wir
werden uns weiter treu bleiben – als Dienstleister und als Marktplatz für
hochwertige Mode – und freuen uns auf die nächste Dekade mit Ihnen.

fashion segments – to even define a whole new segment – in an empty subway tunnel in Berlin, caused fireworks in the fashion world. In ten years,
PREMIUM has evolved into one of the most important international trend
barometers and business platforms. Worldwide, there is no other comparable trade fair for high-end fashion of this size and quality. In January 2013,
PREMIUM will celebrate its ten-year anniversary – an occasion to take stock
of the past years.
When we started in 2003, we had a clear vision – for PREMIUM but also for the
city of Berlin. To translate an idea of this magnitude into a concept for success,
you need clear ideas, creativity, idealism and a good dose of perseverance.
On the entrepreneurial side, long-term strategies and target-oriented measures are particularly required.
During the last ten years, we’ve faced many obstacles and indeed, in the
process, come to know a rather wide gamut of human emotions – from anger
and annoyance to deep affection and gratitude. Affection and gratitude is
what we feel especially toward you. Toward those who believed in us and
who placed their absolute trust in us. We’re also thankful for all of the new
business relationships that we’ve built up over the years.
An anniversary is also an occasion to look toward the future. But one thing is
certain: we will continue to remain true to our principles – as a service provider and as a marketplace for high quality fashion – and we look forward to
the next decade with you.

Anita Tillmann und Norbert Tillmann sahen Anfang der 2000er die einmalige
Chance, in der jungen Hauptstadt eine Fackel für die Mode zu entzünden.
Der Geist war da, die Kompetenz brachte die PREMIUM. Mit einer Messe, die
bei der Auswahl der Brands wie bei der Auswahl der Standorte innerhalb der
geschichtsträchtigen Stadt mit gleicher Strenge selektiert, schufen sie für
Händler und Aussteller einen Marktplatz, von dem ein Ruck durch die Mode
ausging. Wer auf der PREMIUM zeigt, der gehört zur Speerspitze des gehobenen
Segments. Darauf können sich die Einkäufer verlassen. Wer das SelektionsNadelöhr passiert hat, der wird auf der Messe mit demokratischem Recht
behandelt. Hier kann man nicht mit Fläche protzen, man muss mit Mode
überzeugen. Darauf können sich die Aussteller und die Einkäufer verlassen.
Die Mode verlangt nach einem Marktplatz, der so leistungsfähig wie imagestark ist. Wer eine Messe konzipiert, muss ausgeprägtes geschäftliches und
modisches Gespür mitbringen. Seit zehn Jahren steht die PREMIUM mit
ihren beiden Machern Anita Tillmann und Norbert Tillmann für genau diese
Kombination. Mit der internationalen Leuchtturm-Messe in Berlin und den
beiden Satelliten in Düsseldorf und München verbinden sie auf einmalige

must therefore possess both well-honed business sense and a keen feel for
fashion. For ten years, the two masterminds behind PREMIUM, Anita Tillmann
and Norbert Tillmann, have represented this precise combination of talents.
With their original Berlin event, a shining light on the international trade show
circuit, as well as satellite events in Duesseldorf and Munich, the two Tillmanns

In the early 2000s, Anita Tillmann and Norbert Tillmann seized at the opportunity to set alight a beacon for fashion in the recently reappointed German
capital. The city already had the spirit; PREMIUM stepped in to bring the
skillful expertise. With stringent selection criteria for both participating
brands as well as event locations in the history-steeped city, what emerged
was a business platform for both retailers and exhibitors that sent a jolt
through the fashion industry.
