encourages discussing your wishes with your family and physician. Join us as we review and complete
this document, as well as offer advice on starting the dialogue.

Pet Loss
Thursday April 24, 2014
10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Activity Room 1
People love their pets and consider them members of their family.
Caregivers celebrate their pets' birthdays, confide in their animals, and
carry pictures of them in their wallets. So when your beloved pet dies,
it's not unusual to feel overwhelmed by the intensity of your sorrow.
Animals provide companionship, acceptance, emotional support, and unconditional love. If you understand
and accept this bond between humans and animals, you've already taken the first step toward coping with
pet loss: knowing that it is okay to grieve when your pet dies.
Understanding how you grieve and finding ways to cope with your loss can bring you closer to the day when
memories bring smiles instead of tears.

BINGO DAUBER
Enjoy an afternoon or evening of excitement and fun while
supporting the programs at Poway Senior Center!
Every Tuesday afternoon and Saturday Evening, Poway
Senior Center hosts Bingo, and the proceeds benefit Poway
Senior Center programs and activities. Each year, these
games produce approximately 50% of the revenues for our operating budget, which makes it
a very important program. Bingo is entirely volunteer-run and we are always looking to add Bingo
volunteers to assist in counting and distributing tickets, behind-the-scenes operations, as well as
play and win on non-volunteer days Volunteers are asked to commit to a monthly schedule. No
prior experience is necessary, but job skills help. A background check is required, and you must
be 21 to participate.
Applications are available from Managers at Bingo Sessions,
or contact Mary Supanchick at 858-748-6094 x 305.
