What a fun day we all had, driving and riding in our Corvettes while enjoying a beautiful day! There was so
much to see. Personally, I have driven through Warsaw for years and had no idea Truman Lake had so much
to offer. Our tour guides were terrific! Thank you for your participation and we look forward to our next day
trip.
I wanted to mention that if anyone is interested in leading a
group as Gary and Cheryl did, please bring your ideas to the
committee. We will assist you into making your idea a
reality. Thank you.

The Route 66 cruise to Cuba, MO was held on Saturday,
April 25th. Trip Captains were Craig and Nancy Beach,
who did a great job organizing another very successful
and enjoyable trip down memory lane. Because we received more pictures of this event and even though it was
covered in the May 2015 issue of Vette Waves, we felt you
would want to see the additional snaps. There is a photo
taken while on Route 66 of what’s called “Trail of Tears”.
Other shots were taken at Gasoline Alley while viewing all
the memorabilia from ‘days gone by.’ Last but not least,
there are a couple pictures of the murals found in Cuba.

We are getting excited for the
upcoming trip to Bowling
Green, Kentucky for 25 of our
members in 13 Vettes. Peggy
and I will be leading the group
to the TownePlace Suites by
Marriott, a new and beautiful
hotel near restaurants, shopping and local
points of interest. Our trip includes four laps
around the new Motorsports Track on the first
day as well as the Barren River scenic cruise to
lunch at the Louie B. Nunn Lodge in Lucas, Ky.
The next day will start with a
tour of the Corvette Plant
followed by a NCM provided
lunch after which members can
join us on a trip to nearby
Mammoth Cave National Park.
We will close out the day with a
Don Sturn
NCM Ambassador return to the museum for our
guided tour.

responsibilities of
“Public Relations” for the
