TRAVELERS SUNSET AFFAIR:
SUNDOWN ON THE SAVANNA
COMO FRIENDS' ANNUAL SUMMER BENEFIT FOR
COMO PARK ZOO AND CONSERVATORY
1
WELCOME TO TRAVELERS SUNSET AFFAIR:
SUNDOWN ON THE SAVANNA
Dear Friends:
We are thrilled to be serving as honorary co-chairs for Como Friends’
Travelers Sunset Affair: Sundown on the Savanna. Combined, we have
over two decades of involvement with Como Park Zoo and Conservatory
because of our passion for animal conservation and Como’s free
admission for all visitors. The Zoo and Conservatory truly hold a special
place in our lives.
Tonight, we encourage you to experience Como by attending the
zookeeper talks, visiting with the Nature Walk teen conservation program
participants, stopping by the interpretive stations, and interacting with
the animal ambassadors – all while being surrounded by kudu, zebra,
gorillas, and our gentle herd of giraffes.
Your bids tonight for nearly 300 silent auction items and gifts toward our
Fund-a-Need donation will support pressing priorities at Como. Whether
you buy a flat of strawberries for Como’s baby gorilla Arlene, or invest in
Sparky’s legacy, a contribution of any size can make a big difference at
Como, a true jewel in our community.
Como is a treasure in our backyard — owned by all, enjoyed by all, and
free to all. Because of you, Como thrives – thank you!
