“expanding horizons
through the power of one
to one friendships”
At tonight's auction you will have the opportunity to help Big
Brothers and Big Sisters of Elkhart County. Your attendance
here and your active bidding on auction items is already a
great help to Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Tonight, when
you purchase auction items, you probably already know that
Indiana State Sales Tax at the rate of 7% will not be
charged on your purchases, however, your purchases will be
subject to a services fee.
The rate for this services fee is 10%, which provides for the
cashiers, the computer equipment and the auction
consulting work CM Benefit Auctions does for Big Brothers
and Big Sisters of Elkhart County. In addition, this services
fee provides silent and live auction invoices for tonight's
auction.
Everyone understands that this services fee amounts to an
additional expense to you as a purchaser, but we ask you to
recognize that your generosity in accepting this fee simply is
another way you can help Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
If you have any questions concerning the services fee,
please feel free to ask the auctioneer or cashier for
clarification.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Elkhart County appreciates
your support and wants to thank you for attending the
auction.

The Silent Auction will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and continue without
interruption until all sections have closed at 7:15 p.m. The Live Auction will
begin at approximately 7:45 p.m.
Payment by the successful bidder should be made at the close of the Live
Auction. Payment may be made with cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.
All checks should be made payable to: “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart
County”
“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart County” has attempted to describe and
catalog all items correctly and all items are offered as is. All sales are final
and there will be no exchanges or refund.
All auction items must be removed from the “Matterhorn Conference Center”
on the evening of the auction. A “Paid” receipt, obtained from the auction
cashier, must be presented before items can be removed. For large items,
please make arrangements for pickup with Randy Doering.
The auction checkout invoice should serve as your official receipt for items
purchased. The value set forth for each item is a good faith estimate of the
fair market value as required by the IRS.
Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must be used within
one year of the auction date.
Conduct of the auction and increments of bidding are at the direction and
discretion of CM Benefit Auctions. In the silent auction, bidding must follow
the pre-printed increments on the silent auction bid form. No write-in bids
will be accepted.
Each person issued a bid number assumes all risks and hazards related to the
auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold
harmless from any liability arising there from Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Elkhart County, its elected and appointed officials, members, and employees,
the auctioneer, the auction company and its agents and employees, the event
organizers, sponsors, and or volunteers connected with the auction.
A 10% Services Fee will be added to all Live and Silent Auction purchases.
The 10% Services Fee will not be charged to the buyer on Fund-An-Item and
Bidding Frenzy.
