“God is rich in mercy, because of His boundless love for us.”
Ephesians 2:4 tells us God’s love knows no boundaries and neither
does St. Mary of the Lakes. New parishioners, regardless of where
they live, are welcome and encouraged to register at our parish.
Registration forms are available at the doors of the church, in the
parish office, and on our website at smlparish.org. (Click on contact
us/registration.)

after 9:00 a.m. Mass and from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may also
call the parish office to make an appointment for a different time.
Please call the parish office anytime or

They have the desire.
Baltimore has the need.
Do you have the means to help get them there?
They say that in order to serve the poor, one must
acquire the heart of the poor. 27 teens and 12 adults
have the heart, but need $16,000 by June 21st to serve.
Funding is for transportation, food, lodging, donations,
and more. Can you help by donating to the 2016 Y.E.S.
Habitat for Humanity Chesapeake trip?

Last Sunday’s Children’s Mass saw the re-enactment of the
Gospel of St. Luke in which Jesus raises from the dead the son
of the widow of Nain. Children participated in the readings, the
re-enactment, and sang in the choir. They also listened
attentively to Father Carlos advising them to pay attention to
their words and actions, not to fall asleep through life or even
through Mass, as did parishioner Joe Giegerich (right), who
was happy to participate by providing an example of one who
was asleep and not paying attention.
Father’s Day cards are available

For SML students, it was a very good year, as the song
goes, filled with memory-making events. Great strides were
made in academic achievement, the arts, sports, science,
literature, and most importantly, in their faith and
commitment to community. Here are just a few of those
memorable and meaningful moments they shared with
fellow students, teachers, staff, Father Dan, Father Carlos,
parents and grandparents. From Christmas with Santa to
becoming an altar server to winning a medal at the Science
Fair or the Battle of the Books, participating in the Diocesan
Day of Service, donning Halloween costumes, receiving first
Eucharist, singing in Bye Bye Birdie, taking the CYO
basketball tourney prize or playing in the band concert, this
was a year that will live on long after summer begins.
