MR. EDITOR : After calling attention
to the very poor lighting ol the poat
office, some months ago, there was
quite aa improvement made. Since; I
have learned that the building is leased
TfitlftfaB agreement tbatHhu proprietor
furnlah lights; so the responsibility
rests on the owuer of the building. For
some time past, one of the lights has
been little more tban one candle power
(and that of the old-fashioned "tallow
candlertype),~abd the" dtbftrs very poor
in comparison with the lights in our
leading stores. '
I claim that the citizens of Hammontoo have a right to tlrst-claas lights in
the post-office, and if the present mode
of lighting cannot be made effective,
some other plan should be adopted, and
gome means be taken to supply thoroughly ^ood light. - ' VOX POPTJM.
