EL TAMBOR DE LA TRIBU
PRESS KIT / MARCH 2012
THE BAND
El Tambor de la Tribu is a project that joins
diverse rhythms form Latin music with new
sounds, including genres like Rock, Soul,
Reggae and Ska. These, mixed with Cumbia,
Vallenato and many Caribbean rhythms, define
the band’s style as latin rock pop.
This mix of sounds, when taken to scene, creates an astonishing show, perfectly balanced
between the strength and energy that characterizes the band, and the sentimentalism of
their melodies.
They came out in June 2004, and since then
they’ve had more than 750 concerts in Gua-
temala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica,
Belize, the south of Mexico, Miami, New
Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, Virginia and
New York.
They’ve shared stage with great artists like
Carlos Vives, La 5ta Estación, Los Rabanes, La
Oreja de Van Gogh, Julieta Venegas, Reik, Don
Omar, Shakira, Alex Syntek, Belanova, Franco
De Vita, Maná, Juan Luis Guerra and others.
Their music plays in the main Guatemalan
radios, also in El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Perú. Their music is also
popular in American and Mexican radios.
