Thoughts from Jerald Gilbert, City Manager
CITY OF ENID, OKLAHOMA Thoughts from Jerald Gilbert, City Manager I am pleased the Kaw Lake Water Pipeline tax proposition was supported by the voters. Solving our long-term water issues is of the utmost importance for the long-term prosperity of Enid. I assure every member of our community the City will be working very hard to bring the pipeline to completion in the next six to seven years. The City of Enid staff is currently working on phase II of the Kaw Lake Project. A summary of phase I to date and an initial overview of phase II will be presented at the September 8 City Commission meeting. This pipeline project should supply water needs of Enid for the next 50 years and beyond. The future is bright for the City of Enid as we celebrate its 123rd birthday on September 16th! Happy Birthday Enid! –Jerald Gilbert RECENT SUCCESSES Enid residents voted to approve the Kaw Lake Water Pipeline project tax proposition with 68.34% of the vote.
