SCHOOL NEWS
Registration is currently open for the 2016-2017 school year. Please contact
the school office at (928) 783-5225 for registration and information on tuition
scholarships through AZ tax credit programs.
The third annual “Run with the Nuns” 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday,
April 16, at Gateway Park. We invite all parishioners to join us for this fun annual
event. Registration forms for the “Run with the Nuns” 5K Run/Walk are available
in the school office and are due Wednesday, April 6, to allow time to order T-shirts.
Please mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual Monsignor O’Keeffe Golf
Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, April 30, at the Cocopah RV and Golf
Resort. This year’s event will also celebrate Monsignor O’Keeffe’s 81st birthday!
Team sign-up and business sponsorship forms will soon be available in the school
office.
Easter/Spring break will soon be upon us! Immaculate Conception School will
be closed the week of March 25 – April 1. Current Kindergarten students will be on
Easter/Spring Break from March 21 – April 1, this will allow for screening of the
2016-2017 Kindergarten class. All IC students will return to school on Monday,
April 4.
CURSILLOS IN CHRISTIANITY Do you know someone
looking for growth in their Christian walk? If they are seeking a
closer relationship with God, please invite them to come live
the Cursillo experience. Cursillos in Christianity will offer a 3day short course in our Catholic faith and our personal
relationship with God. The English Cursillo will be held at St.
John Neumann Centre, on June 16-19 for men and June on 23-26 for women.
There will be an informational meeting at the Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Drive,
Room B, Saturday, April 2, at 3:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Judy

In the Land where Our Lord Jesus Christ chose to be born, where the ultimate loving
sacrifice was made by his dying on the cross, and where his glorious resurrection
took place, a desperate cry for help can be heard. For many centuries, the
Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land and the Equestrian Order of the Holy
Christians have been responsible for the care of our Holy Shrines, including the
tomb of Christ. A special collection is taken up worldwide for this very important
cause. Please be generous.

DIAMOND JUBILEE celebration
IS HERE!
You are cordially invited to join the Clergy, Religious, and Laity
of Immaculate Conception Parish in celebrating 150 years of the
Catholic Faith in Yuma. This special event, in addition to
celebrating our Faith, will recognize and honor 100 years of
Catholic Education provided by the Sisters of St. Joseph of
Carondolet, the Sisters of Mercy, and the Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity to the people of Yuma County.
The 2016 main celebration will be on Thursday,
December 8, at 5:30 p.m. There will be no parking at IC because
the north side and the Msgr. O’Keeffe Athletic Field will be used
by Bishops, Priests, Sisters, and the handicapped, elderly, and
honorable guests.
The south side parking area will be used by school
students, Parish staff, and the school faculty. Therefore,
additional parking will be at St. Francis Parish and YCHS buses
will transport people back and forth. Our Parishioners will have
priority. Invitations will be presented to parishioners on Palm
Sunday and on the following Easter Sunday.
Those who want to participate must fill out the
registration form that will be inside the invitation and return it to
the Parish office as soon as possible, but no later than June 30.
We will then give you your tickets, guaranteeing your
participation in this historic celebration. We will have 5 colors of
tickets that will indicate where you will be seated to witness this
Historical Solemn Mass.

Parishioners of all the Yuma County churches and to the faculty,
parents, and students of Yuma Catholic High School will be
issued. Therefore, if you are planning to attend, please return
your registration form as soon as possible. It will be “First Come,
First Serve.” Only people with tickets will be allowed to
participate due to the shortage of space.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE
All who donated stained glass windows or donated to the renovation
of pews, the painting of our Church, or renovation of the restrooms,
etc, will receive an invitation to the 150 Anniversary of the Church by
mail. They don’t’ have to fill out a registration form.

celebración diamante del jubileo
ya esta aquí !
Están cordialmente invitados a unirse al Clero, Religiosos y Laicos de la
Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción para la celebración del 150
Aniversario de la fe católica en Yuma, Arizona. Este evento especial,
además de celebrar nuestra fe, también reconoce y rinde homenaje a
100 años de la educación católica suministrado por las hermanas de
San José de Carondelet, las hermanas de la misericordia y las
Hermanas Franciscanas de la Caridad en el Condado de Yuma.
La celebración del 2016 será el jueves, 8 de Diciembre a las 5:30 p.m.
no habrá estacionamiento disponible aquí en la Inmaculada porque se
utilizara el lado norte del estacionamiento y el campo Atlético de
Monseñor por Obispos, Sacerdotes, Hermanas y Huéspedes,
minusválidos, ancianos e invitados de honor. El lado sur del
estacionamiento será utilizado por estudiantes, y personal de la
Parroquia por lo tanto habrá estacionamiento adicional en la Parroquia
de San Francis los autobuses de la escuela Católica de Yuma
proveerán transportación de ida y vuelta. Nuestros feligreses tendrán
prioridad. Las invitaciones serán repartidas durante el Domingo de
Ramos y al siguiente Domingo.
Aquellos que estén dispuestos a participar tendrán que llenar el
formulario que se encuentra dentro de la invitación y tendrá que
devolverse a nuestra oficina, a más tardar el 30 del junio de 2016. Una
vez que usted reciba su boleto se le garantizara su participación en
esta celebración histórica. Los boletos serán de 5 colores que indicarán
el lugar donde será asignado y pueda ser testigo de esa Histórica Misa
Solemne.

todas las iglesias en el Condado de Yuma y Facultad, Padres y
estudiantes de la escuela Secundaria Católica de Yuma. Por favor si
usted planea asistir devuelva la registración lo antes posible. Solo las
personas que tengan boleto podrán participar.

renovación de bancas, baños, puntura, etc. Recibirán su invitación por
correo para participar en la celebración de los 150 años de la
Parroquia. Estas personas no necesitan llenar la registración.

que por favor al entrar al estacionamiento de la Iglesia
utilice las entradas que se encuentran cercanas a la
Iglesia. Al salir del estacionamiento utilice las salidas
mas alejadas de la Iglesia. Al salir utilice la Avenida B
y salga a su derecha. El campo atlético de la escuela
estará a su disposición para estacionamiento, pero por
favor al salir hágalo hacia la avenida 24.
