the Playoffs in 2012…
Just because the 2012 BSens did not make it to the Calder Cup
Playoffs this year we still have to a tie to some that did… In case you
want to know…

I believe that Geoff Kinrade went on to the playoffs with his team
in Europe also!
While we all love a repeat we certainly wish all these players and
ALL previous Binghamton Hockey Team Alum the best in their future

Thank You
I wish to thank all those who helped me through the
year. For decorations I had a lot of help from Ronn
Winn & David Spence. I couldn’t have done it without
their help & want them to know they were appreciated. On the Jersey Raffle Melody & Scott Correll manned
the back table at every game & at the front table my
right hand was Eric Brom. I really appreciated all the
help given to me by them. Also Clara Groover helped
during the 2nd intermission until she hurt her hand
& wasn’t available anymore. Sometimes we were
really busy & without their help I would have missed
a lot of sales. Also thanks to Ron Winn who filled
in when Eric had a game & couldn’t make it to the
arena. As usual everyone was ready to make cookies
for the bus when I asked them. I really appreciated the help
especially when my oven was
on the fritz.. Thanks to Will Platt

PLAYER OF THE MONTH-FEBRUARY
MIKE HOFFMAN is the SENATOR to earn the ‘Player of the Month’ honors for the month
of FEBRUARY, 2012, as voted by the members attending the MARCH 1ST meeting. He
won with 5goals and 5 assists for 10 points in 10 games. His strong play has helped the
SENS stay within reach of our division playoffs. These efforts are what our new young team
needs. Mike will receive a gift certificate award of $50.00 a local restaurant.

Thank you to everyone who purchased 50/50 tickets throughout the season. With your help we were able to
donate to 10 different local organizations this year.

Binghamton High schools Thanksgiving day dinner

Mended Little Hearts
A Room to Heal
Meals on Wheels
Wendy’s walk for kids
Broome Sports Foundation
and pucks for the high scool and girls hockey teams
Our members also donated items to the Friendship Tree to help those in need recovering from Septembers
flood. During the holidays members donated non perishable food items to CHOW. And all season long members
collected pop tabs to help support the Ronald McDonald House.
Thank you so much everyone for your help and participation.If you have any local organizations
that you would like to see the booster club support next season please let me know your suggestions.

PAT CANNONE is the SENATOR to earn the ‘Player of the Month’ honors for the month
of MARCH, 2012, as voted by the members attending the APRIL 2 nd meeting. Pat has
won this for the first time and he is a rookie. He won with 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points
in 14 games. He also had the game winning goal on MARCH 21ST . His strong play has
helped the SENS. These efforts are what our new young team needs. PAT will receive a gift

Raffle Chairpersons
If you weren’t in attendance at our annual awards banquet on April 11 at the Holiday Inn Arena you missed
a good time. All the players, coaches and trainers were there. Grady Whittenburg was our MC and did a great
job as usual. We presented each of them with a Reebok duffle bag with their names embroidered on them. Dick
Havich and Gene Wells presented the awards, voted on by the members, to the winners. Congratulations to Ron
Winn for being selected as the member of the year. It was well deserved. Jen Stover won a Sens jersey donated by
the club. Many other members won various Sens items that were donated by the Senators. Our thanks to them. Kay Orr won the 50/50. Everyone in attendance received a Sens memo pad with a calculator. My thanks to the committee, Cindy Lee, Lori Baker, Lorraine Ostrowsky, Tiffany Ostrowsky and Mike Prozeralik
who volunteered to help out. They worked very hard to make it a success. They made special Sens hockey candle
centerpieces and framed team collages that were given away. They put together gifts for the coaches wives and
decorated cute t-shirts for the players and trainers children.
It was a fun night for everyone. We had several guests from the office and our arena announcer, Steve Shimer. Joy Lindsay, from the Press, also attended. Hopefully next year more of our members will be able to attend. We
would love to have you help us celebrate the hockey season.
