UPDATE ON OUR PASTOR! / NOTICIAS DE NUESTRO PÁRROCO
Great News! Our pastor, Rev. Fernando Molina Restrepo received a good review from his surgeon at his
follow-up appointment this past week! He would like to share this good news with everyone and his
great appreciation for all the correspondences, love and especially the prayers he has
received. He is still recovering and hopes to get his neck collar off early next week and be free to move
around a little more! Father is looking forward to coming back to St. Theresa soon to celebrate Mass and
see everyone. Please continue to pray for his full and speedy recovery! Your prayers are being heard!

SAINT PATRICK
FEAST DAY, MARCH 17
Saint Patrick, the “apostle to Ireland,” is one
of the world’s most famous and celebrated
saints. His missionary zeal arguably matched that of
Saint Paul, whose missionary activities, though
oftentimes a severe struggle, remained in the territories
governed by Roman law. Saint Patrick, however, was the
first recorded Christian missionary to evangelize beyond
the bounds of Roman rule and into the darkness of what
was then considered the end of the earth.
“Patricius” was born in Roman Britain around 385. His
father was a public official and Church deacon. He was
kidnapped by Irish slave traders while in the mid-teens
and forced into slavery. After six years, he made a
dangerous and harrowing escape over land and sea that
finally resulted in a return to his parents. They found
him, at age 22, a serious visionary who sought holiness
and friendship with Christ.

that would not be taken up again for another
millennium.

Dios, sino para usarla, siendo misericordioso con

palabras y nuestras oraciones; en otras palabras,
debemos practicar las Obras de Misericordia
Corporal y Espiritual. El Señor quiere que nosotros
hagamos estas obras de misericordia, porque
incluso la fe por excelencia no ha de utilizarse sin
obras.
El Llamado de Jesús a la Misercordia
“Yo pido frutos de misericordia departe de ustedes,
que se deriven del amor por Mi. Ustedes siempre
han de mostrar misericordia hacia sus vecinos y en
todas partes. Ustedes no deben rehuir o tartar de
excusarse o absolverse de ella.
Les doy tres maneras de practicar la misericordia
hacia sus vecinos: la primera es por hechos; la
segunda es por palabra; la tercera es por oración.
En estos tres grados se figura la plenitud de la
misericordia, y eso es una prueba incuestionable de
su amor por Mi. De esa forma una alma glorifica y
rinde reverencia a Mi misericordia.
A menudo muchas almas se preocupan por que no

WHAT IS DIVINE MERCY?
Be Merciful as Your Father is Merciful
We are not only to receive the mercy of God, but to use it by being merciful to others through our actions, our
words, and our prayers; in other words, we are to practice the Corporal and Spiritual Works (Acts) of Mercy.
The Lord wants us to do these works of mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no use without works.
Jesus' Call to Mercy
"I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your
neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it.
I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbor: the first — by deed; the second — by word;
the third — by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof
of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy.
Many souls ... are often worried because they do not have the material means with which to carry out an act of
mercy. Yet spiritual mercy, which requires neither permissions nor storehouses, is much more meritorious and is
within the grasp of every soul.
If a soul does not exercise mercy somehow or other, it will not obtain My mercy on the day of judgment. Oh, if
only souls knew how to gather eternal treasure for themselves, they would not be judged, for they would forestall
My judgment with their mercy."
