We live in difficult times and there is much to keep us anxious, especially when we consider what is happening around the world with the rise of so much terrorism. Still we can celebrate the good news that Jesus rising from the dead gives us hope no matter how difficult the times. May you and your families be filled with the peace of Easter and may your time spent with your families be fruitful. Because Christ is Risen, we rejoice. Priests, Deacons, Sisters and Staff of IHM Felices Pascuas a todos ustedes! Easter Sunday of the Resurrection First Reading Psalm Response of the Lord April 5, 2015 Entrance Chant: Jesus Christ Is Risen Today Second Reading Easter Sequence 1. Christians, to the Paschal Victim offer your thankful praise! A Lamb the sheep redeems; Christ, who only is sinless, reconciles sinners to the Father. Death and life have contended in that combat stupendous: The Prince of life, who died, reigns immortal. 2. Speak, O Mary, declaring what you saw, wayfaring. “The tomb of Christ, who is living, the glory of Jesus’, of Jesus’ resurrection; bright angels attesting, the shroud and napkin resting. Christ my hope is arisen; to Galilee he goes before you.” 3. Christ indeed from the death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning! Amen, amen, amen! Gospel Acclamation Gloria Refrain Gospel Homily Renewal of Baptismal Promises Verses 1. We praise you , we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Rite of Sprinkling 2. Lord, Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. 3. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen! Prayer of the Faithful Response: Hear the prayer of your people, O Lord. Hear the prayer of your people, O Lord. Page 2 Preparation of the Gifts: Worthy Is the Lamb Page 3 Mystery of Faith Amen Sanctus (Holy, Holy) Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) Practicing Catholics (those at Mass each week and regular at confession) are invited to receive the Sacrament. Communion Chant: Take and Eat Page 4 3. From clouds above us you send down your blessings, the bread of heaven and the waters of life! You rain down your bounty and kiss us with manna, bread of the angels for our food and our feast. 4. With patient yearning, we look to your hunger, and through the length of days you feed all your flock. Your hands, with abundance, are wide with your promise, you grant the longings of a people in need. 5. This bread now broken, once grain upon the hillside, is brought together and transformed in our midst. So may all your people be gathered together, from ev’ry land into the kingdom of love! Song of Praise (9 am): Alleluia W.A. Mozart (12:30 pm): Regina Caeli G. Aichinger 1. I am the Word that spoke and light was made; I am the seed that died to be reborn; I am the bread that comes from heav’n above; I am vine that fills your cup with joy. Easter Solemn Dismissal (response) 2. I am the way that leads the exile home; I am the truth that sets the captive free; I am the life that raises up the dead; I am your peace, true peace my gift to you. 3. I am the Lamb that takes away your sin; I am the gate that guards you night and day; You are my flock: you know the shepherd’s voice; You are my own: your ransom is my blood. Sending Forth: Celtic Alleluia 4. I am the cornerstone that God has laid; A chosen stone and precious in his eyes; You are God’s dwelling place, on me you rest; Like living stones, a temple for God’s praise. 5. I am the light that came into the world; I am the light that darkness cannot hide; I am the morning star that never sets; Lift up your face, in you my light will shine. 6. I am the first and last, the Living One; I am the Lord who died that you might live; I am the bridegroom, this my wedding song; You are my bride, come to the marriage feast. 1. Now he is living, the Christ. Out of the tomb he is risen; He has conquered death, opened heaven to all believers. 2. Christ is the first fruits from death, filling the church with his glory. Darkness vanishes in the light of his power. Make of Our Hands A Throne 1. Taste of this goodness and feast at this banquet; how blest the faithful who find shelter in God! Look to your Maker, be radiant with glory, for those who love the Lord are saved from their fears. 2. You keep your promise, O God our Savior, hope of the distant isles and all of the earth. You crown us with goodness, your fields decked with harvest. Your valleys clothed in wheat resound with your joy!
