Want to end abor on? If you do, the first thing you must do is pray.
Prayer is at the center of 40 Days for Life. During each campaign,
we are calling on people of faith across the na on … and around
the world … to fall on their knees before the Lord, asking Him to
hear our plea and heal our land. Pray outside an abor on facility.
Pray at church. Pray at work. Pray in the car. Pray at home with
your family.

THE BACKPACK PROGRAM IS
GOING STRONG…THANK YOU!
¡El programa de las mochilas va bien
fuerte….Gracias!
In the past few weeks, you’ve been
introduced to our eight BackPack Superstars
at Annette Wynn Elementary School. Your
donations have helped these kids have food
that they might otherwise have gone without.
Thanks to your dedication to this program, we
have a good supply of most items, but we are
short on three things. Can you help, please?
cosas. ¿Usted cree que podría ayudar?
Peanut butter (only small jars, please)
Jelly (only small jars and strawberry
and orange flavors, please)
Individually packaged soups
Mantequilla de maní (cacahuates) (por favor
solamente potes pequeños)
Jalea (por favor solamente potes pequeños,
sabores de fresas y naranjas)
Sopas en paquetes individuales.
It just takes ONE ITEM FROM YOU to help
one of these precious lives. Thank you for
prayerfully considering how you can help.
Sólo se necesita que contribuya CON UN
ARTICULO para poder ayudar a uno de estas vidas
tan preciadas. Gracias por sus oraciones de cómo
pueden ayudar.
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

Announcing the 2016 PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY CRUSADE
TAKE THE
TIME TO
JOIN US
America is at a historic crossroad. Secularists are trying to push God from the
public square. They reject His beneficial ac on upon society. But without God, where
will our leaders get the wisdom to solve the great problems we face?
We must stop the secularist advance and pray to God for help. He will hear us,
if we pray through the intercession of His Blessed Mother. that’s why we’re launching
the 2016 Public Square Rosary Crusade.
In the Secret of the Rosary, Saint Louis de Mon ort said: “Public prayer is far
more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and call down His
mercy, and Holy Mother Church, guided by the Holy Ghost, has always advocated
public prayer in mes of public tragedy and suffering.”
Come To SJV on Saturday, October 15th at 12:00PM
We will gather in front of SJV and pray the Rosary together!

SALVATION
Each of us has known the painful
breakdown and isolation that comes with
sin, personal and social, individual and
community. We have known the pain that
lingers for years. And we have known
moments of healing, of wholeness restored,
the compassionate touch of someone who
reminds us that we belong not just to the
community but to God. We are not only healed of our brokenness,
we are also saved from lives of isolation and misery. We receive that
salvation when, like Naaman and the tenth leper, we recognize the
source of the grace and mercy, and return to it and take it home with
us. So not only are we healed, we become a source of healing and
salvation for others in a world where the suffering does not seem to
end.
Today’s Readings: 2 Kgs 5:14–17; Ps 98:1–4; 2 Tm 2:8–13; Lk 17:11–19
pertenecemos a Dios.
