Don’t Tax My Credit Union
Credit unions are member-owned, volunteer-directed,
and not-for-profit. They work to promote the economic well
being of their members and ensure secure financial choices.
As you know credit unions offer financial products that provide
better returns on savings, reduced rates on loans, and lower
or no fees on services. Why am I reminding you what your
credit union is all about you may ask? Well if you haven’t heard,
Congress is interested in raising taxes on your credit union.

Welcome to the team
Patty Stuempges!
Please give a warm “Welcome!” to Patty Stuempges. As of
September 1st she has been a part of the member services team
here at The Friendly Credit Union.
Patty joins us with 15 years of experience
in the business. Her favorite part of being
a Member Service Representative is
working with you, our members. She is
really looking forward to getting to know
everyone!
She has two sons and two energetic
grandsons ages 4 and 1. She uses every
moment she can to play and spend time
with them.

Meet Mikaela, Our New
Student Apprentice
Mikaela is currently a senior at Onalaska
High School and will be graduating this
January. She will be attending Western
Technical College in the Fall of 2014 for
2 years and then she plans to transfer
to Viterbo to finish her Masters in
Accounting and Business.
She loves to travel and has been all
over the country. So far she has visited
Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando,
camped in Montana, Las Vegas, Kansas
City, and the Bad Lands. She isn’t done yet! She dreams of
seeing all Seven Wonders of the World.
We are very excited to have Mikaela with us! We are looking
forward to help advance her business experience.

Coloring Contest
Time to show off your excellent coloring
skills kids! The coloring contest is back!
Coloring sheets will be available starting
Monday, November 25, 2013. Kindly return
your sheets by Wednesday, December 18,
2013.
The contest is open to boys and girls in
the following age groups; 0-3, 4-6, 7-9,
and 10-12. A prize will be awarded
to one winner selected from each
age group. Winners will be
announced Monday, December
23, 2013. Questions can be
directed to Katie Hagen in
Member Services.
