Next weekend, June 22nd and 23rd we will be having a second collection for the Restorative
Justice ministries (Victim's Ministry, Chaplain Ministry, Families of the Incarcerated Ministry
and Partnership for Re-Entry Program). The Restorative Justice ministries reaches out to the
incarcerated, victims, and the families of both. It advocates for changes in the criminal justice system on the
County, State and Federal levels, and strives to educate the community about the system and its affect on
those involved in it.

There is an ongoing need for Catechists in our parish program in every grade level, especially in
Confirmation. As baptized Catholics, we need grow in our own faith and spirituality and share our

What is a Catechist?
Anyone who is sharing and passing on our wonderful Catholic Faith is considered a catechist. The word “catechist”
literally means “to echo.” A catechist echoes the Word of God to his/her young disciples. We do not teach a subject, we
teach a life-style…the Catholic-Christian, life-style.
What qualification do I have to have to become a Catechist?
If you are a faith-filled individual, enjoy being with children, are dedicated to the Catholic faith, and feel that God
is calling you to get more involved…you may be just the person we are looking for.

Próximo fin de semana, 22 y 23 de junio se va a tener una segunda colecta para los ministerios de Justicia Restaurativa (Ministerio
de la Víctima del Ministerio Capellán,
Familias del Ministerio y la Asociación
Encarcelados en el Programa Re-Entry).
Los ministerios de Justicia Restaurativa se acerca a
los presos, las víctimas y los familiares de ambos.
Se aboga por cambios en el sistema de justicia penal
a nivel del condado, estatales y federales, y se esfuerza por educar a la comunidad sobre el sistema y
su efecto en las personas involucradas en ella.

especialmente en Confirmación. Como católicos bautizados, necesitamos crecer en nuestra propia fe y

¿Qué es un catequista?
Cualquier persona que está compartiendo y transmitiendo nuestra maravillosa fe católica es considerado un
catequista. La palabra "catequista" significa literalmente "hacer eco." Un catequista se hace eco de la Palabra de
Dios a sus jóvenes discípulos. No enseñamos un tema, enseñamos un estilo de vida ... el estilo de vida católico.
¿Qué debo tener para ser un catequista?
Si usted es una persona llena de fe, disfruta de estar con los niños/jóvenes, se dedica a la fe católica, y tiene la
sensación de que Dios lo esta llamando a involucrarse más ... puede ser la persona que estamos buscando.
