JIMBO SHOT 6
Much hullabaloo has been made about
people drinking these so-called 50/50
shots. Most notably, The Jimbo Shot has
taken off like wildfire.
At the last Town Hall meeting, Evelyn
Bundrum cried out, “The things are a menace.” Her sentiment was shared by the majority in attendance, as the rest of the town
was out at the bar having one. But the root
of this animosity, it turns out, is the same
reason people can’t get enough. “They just
taste too damn good!” howled Mrs. Bundrum. “It’s whiskey alright, but you can’t
feel that devil!” For all her lamentation,
Mrs. Bundrum and her camp overlook
that the drink was invented just down the
river from Belle Shoals, on the shores of
Roebling Beach, by our own son Jim Palumbo. It’s popularity in the fishing bars
thereabouts led to it’s sweeping the nation.
So you see, The Jimbo is part of this town’s
heritage. We need less meetings about
them, and more shots of them!
