The clouds parted, the sun came out and approximately 120 people rallied in support of our Family Planning
Clinic on its last day of operation. Our bake sale "Cupcakes for Pap Smears made necessary by Commissioners
Foss, Burrows and Stoltz" raised $250, almost enough for a new patient to visit a private doctor for a Pap
Smear. It's going to take a lot of bake sales.... Burrows and Foss both bought cupcakes. Maybe they'll become
busy little bakers.
Judy Griffith, our director of Public Health, flanked by staff, spoke to the crowd about how difficult its been to
tell clients they will no longer be able to help them.
