Winery Fact Sheet
Overview:
Deep in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains lies an old estate rich in history and tradition. Established in
1881 by California pioneer Pierre Cornwall, this premium grape growing property was once owned by the
famous director, Alfred Hitchcock. Today Heart O' The Mountain is owned by the Robert Brassfield family,
producing a limited amount of hand-crafted Pinot Noir. Robert Brassfield’s brother and son also operate
wineries out of Lake County, Brassfield Estates and High Valley Vineyards respectively.

Heart O‘ The Mountain Estate Pinot Noir constitutes a majority of production with a blend of 115, 667, 777
and 828 Dijon clones, in addition to the Pommard clone. Smaller lots (less than 40 cases each) of each
clone are produced annually and are available directly from the winery with priority access given to our
Allocation Club members
