Mercy Foundation
A Mission of Giving
The Sisters of Mercy, who have dedicated their lives to caring for the sick,
poor, elderly and uneducated, founded Mercy Foundation in 1973. Like
the sisters, Mercy Foundation donors offer support of time and money in
service to children throughout Douglas County. Much like the sisters, you
have also provided comfort and hope to these children and their families
as well as providing them with opportunities to succeed. Our donors are
a living example of what it means to make a difference in the lives of
people, treating everyone with kindness, compassion and respect.
As you read through our new on-line newsletter and our semi-annual
report, I hope you will join us in making a conscience effort to fill your
days with meaning and purpose. May you find the programs and services
we provide through the foundation a unique and fulfilling opportunity to
provide for those less fortunate in our community, and help us help them

create more peace, and the day you help fill someone’s life with hope,
prosperity and security.

opportunity to not only survive, but to thrive. My hope and prayer for
each one of us is that as we choose to make better use of our todays,
that we can help more in our community and that these efforts will lead

Festival of Trees
Nov. 28 - Dec. 1
Seven Feathers Convention Center.
A week-long event of festivities beginning
with the Silver Bell Luncheon on Wednesday,
Nov. 28, and culminating with Family Day on
Saturday, Dec. 1. The Gala Evening and Auction of beautiful decorated trees highlights
the week on Friday, Nov. 30, benefitting our
children’s outreach programs.
