essential responsibilities of our Church community.

A Family Perspective
from the Family Life Education Office (a Hope Appeal Agency)
“Where sins you forgive, are forgiven”
means the grudges we carry only make us miserable.
The Kingdom of God begins in your home
where children learn the paths to peace
promised in today’s gospel through
forgiving demonstrated by their parents.
Prayer for Our Troops
Lord, hold our troops in Your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need, and give us peace.
I ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Easter Flower Memorials
The Easter Vigil is the Church’s primary celebration of proclaiming Christ’s victory over sin and death; it is the central
liturgical celebration of the Church year. We have been given
the gift of salvation in Christ! The new fire, the new water
and the new oils were used to welcome the elect and candidates as witnessed by the gathering at the Easter Vigil service.
We celebrate with and continue our support of the newest
members of our parish community - Lonna Mary Orta, Scott
Peter Peters & Andrew Joseph Chrobak, as they celebrated the
Sacraments of Initiation during the Easter Vigil service. Lonna
is a neophyte, she was baptized with the Easter water and
along with Scott & Andrew anointed with the chrism oil in the
sacrament of Confirmation and they all received the Holy
Eucharist for the first time! A new birth in Christ!
Just as a new spring plant needs to be nourished and nurtured
to grow and become strong, so also it is our duty, as faithful
members of the Body of Christ, to continue to provide the
example and companionship they need to grow strong in their
faith. Please continue to be good stewards of God’s love.
Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser
St. Mary’s is asking everyone to please help our parishioner,
Christina Thompson, in her Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser. She is
collecting cans & bottles, which may be brought to any Great
Lakes Redemption Center (ask them to credit St. Mary’s account)
or they may be dropped off at the parish office before May 8th.
Thank you.
