Inside Back Cover • Letter • Sketch out your idea • Confidentiality Document • Representation Document • Pre-Development Document • Road Map Hands On: Mr. Davison working with a designer on another new product using our exclusive process. 09/14/07 H Holding onto the product that gives bathrooms a facelift ere you see Mr. Davison, the founder of Davison, with his arm wrapped around a display full of Twister Bolts. “For me, the most rewarding experience is the moment that my client has first eye contact with their product,” says Mr. Davison. Our clients, Gary and Ruth Frazer, had an idea to make bathrooms more presentable. They wanted to create a toilet cap that would screw down onto the threads that hold the toilet to the floor. Why? Because the old caps fall off all the time and it just looks ugly. So, we developed the world’s first screw-down toilet caps that fit all types of threads. 1 It was Gary and Ruth’s first new product. We developed their idea into a product sample, and then licensed it to the largest company in the industry, which sells Twister Bolts and Twister Caps in major hardware chains. By dreaming side-by-side with our clients, Davison creates all types of new products. The most exciting moment we have at Davison is when we can tell our client that their new product is on the store shelves. Gary & Ruth Frazer said: “I think we were afraid if we stopped, someday we would see it in the stores and kick ourselves.” 09/14/07 Going to the stores to find another client product A bove is Mr. Davison, creator of Davison’s exclusive development process and founder of Davison, visiting another store carrying BagStors. Mr. Davison engineered this innovative kitchen solution for a corporate client. It’s for every person out there who suffers from“stuffing the grocery bags under the kitchen sink syndrome.”Products like these have made Davison famous as the place to go to turn an idea into a product. Says Mr. Davison,“It took almost a quarter of a century to create and refine our development process to perfection.” It is truly a rewarding experience developing ideas into products with our process. We can go to the stores and see the results of our work. We feel a sense of accomplishment and know that we are making a contribution. James M. Smith said: “Davison does its homework at every level. I can’t begin to tell you how comforting this is to [our company]… the whole process is one of confidence.” 2 09/14/07 09/14/07 What will you think up the next time you go to the store? T here he is again. Mr. Davison is holding another product in a nationwide drug store chain. Mr. Davison said,“We all buy products off the shelf. Why not ask yourself if there’s a way to improve them? In this case, we knew the days of bulky bags of ice and big pouches of blue gel were on their way out. We did our Pre-Development and discovered there was an opportunity to create a better heating and cooling system for people 3 who live an active lifestyle. The slim-line technology we developed for our client is flexible and small enough for anyone who wants cooling or heating on the go. The Hot/Cold Therapy line was licensed to a corporation that now sells it all across the country. P.S. Almost a quarter of a century spent developing our process is the secret of how we keep getting products to the stores. Big displays in the stores keep the dinners spinning! M r. Davison, creator of Davison’s exclusive process, holds yet another corporate client’s product. Says Mr. Davison, “I never dreamed we would create a whole new category of products called interactive mealtime. After doing all of our research, we saw an opportunity for our client to have a whole new type of product line.” With these products, kids can interact with their plates, cups, forks and more. Just imagine yourself as a kid again and sitting at the dinner table. Every time you want to eat a different food, you push a button and your plate spins to deliver the next selection. Round and round the dinner goes. Where will it stop? Only your kids know. P.S. Turning ideas into products starts with belief. 4 09/14/07 09/14/07 Will you love your favorite soda a second time? A bove you see Mr. Davison, founder of Davison, welcoming yet another client’s new product to a major grocery store chain. “Davison was created to develop ideas into new products for our clients.” In this case, Zbigniew Deredowski had an idea while he was watching bees and insects crawling around on the top of an open can of soda. He wanted a device that would prevent bugs from going inside, while allowing people to still take a sip. After doing the Pre-Development, we found that there was also a need to keep the 5 “fizz” inside opened cans that were partially full. So, we developed the Can Pump & Pour - the world’s first pump that keeps the carbonation inside 12-ounce cans so people don’t waste their soda. We developed and licensed it to a corporation for him. It was Zbigniew’s first new product. We combine the imagination of our clients with our exclusive process to get products to the stores. At Davison, we want our clients to make history doing something new! Zbigniew Deredowski said: “When I saw it in the store, all I could say was, ‘Amazing!’” Will rescuers hear you if you’re lost or in danger? A bove you see not a store clerk or a knife salesman, but Mr. Davison, the founder of Davison. Mr. Davison will tell you that he created his company to develop unique products so they could get to the stores. With the Swiss Army Whistle Knife, the original inspiration came from our client, Alexander Presniakov. He wanted a new type of safety product that would allow people to sound an alert if they were lost or experiencing any other emergency. So, we developed the first emergency whistle and knife that people can put on a key ring. It was Alexander’s first new product and we licensed it to a world renowned company for him. Alexander said: “Davison has expertly produced my idea. It could not be in better hands.” For us, getting Alexander’s idea to the store shelf was another victory. Since Davison’s mission is to get the most new products to the stores, we couldn’t be happier. 6 09/14/07 09/14/07 A new ride in the sporting goods store D avison developed the original BikeBoards and TykeBoards,”says Mr. Davison, founder of the company. “It was like Christmas in the summertime when they started selling in the region’s largest sports retailer.” Davison’s exclusive process of developing ideas into new products is the first of its kind. Our client, John Iavarone, wanted to create a new type of scooter – one that would give people the feeling of riding 7 a surfboard on a wave. So, we developed the world’s first mono-framed riding board that would “carve” on the street like a surfboard. Indeed, it has been a journey to the stores. Davison’s process of developing ideas has taken over 20 years to perfect. It is a tightly held secret that keeps getting more and more new products to the shelves for our creative clients. John Iavarone said: “I appreciate the belief and support of my vision. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Davison.” A Find the perfect gift for the gearhead in your family bove is Mr. Davison, founder of Davison, holding yet another product for a corporate client that went through his exclusive process. Says Mr. Davison, “We engineered it so that when people go to use it and they pull the orange plug, the inside silver wheel rim spins just for effect. It’s the gift for the gearhead who has everything.” The retractable extension cord in a racing tire slick fits better in a garage than a big tangle of extension cords. We engineered, built, packaged and licensed it to a corporation that placed it in auto stores nationwide. P.S. Davison’s exclusive process works. The proof is in the stores. 8 09/14/07 Why not have your air freshener look as good as it smells? A bove you see Mr. Davison, founder of Davison, “where ideas are turned into new products.” He continues, “It was over 20 years of hard work developing the process that we used to bring the “Personals” air freshener to life. that could be put into a name plate. As seen above, the name plate comes with the name “Kim” in it. We developed and licensed the Personals to the largest company in the car air freshener industry. The product sold in stores in the late 90’s. Our client, Curtis Hargrove, wanted to be able to create his own custom messages on his car air freshener. Such as “I you,”“Go Steelers,” “Joe + Sally” and any other expression people wanted to create for themselves. Once again, we gave form to our client’s vision. By combining our imagination with those of our clients, we continue to create the new products of the future! So, we developed the first air freshener that had letters, numbers and symbols 9 Curtis Hargrove said: “I made it somewhere, where I never thought I would make it.” Shopping for Davison client products A bove is Mr. Davison, the founder of the company. “It took me over 20 years to create our exclusive process.” He continues, “Today, you can find corporate products like the one I’m holding, clients’ products and my own in stores nationwide.” Davison’s process develops fresh ideas into products. We go through Pre-Development, concept modeling, packaging, graphics, mechanical and electrical engineering, prototyping, package engineering and video production – all to get to the stores. Very few people know how to get ideas to the stores. No matter who you talk to, always ask where you can buy their products, so you can verify that their advice is solid. One of our secrets is to develop the idea into a fully functional store sample with packaging so corporate executives can interact with the idea and license it. It works! The proof is in the stores. P.S. The secret to how it got there is inside Davison’s exclusive process. Bring your idea to life like you mean business. 10 The proof is in the stores!
