Christians, too, are called to “do everything for the glory of God.” In today’s scriptures Paul reminds us that the best way for us to glorify God is to seek to benefit “the many,” as Christ did when He shed His blood for all of humankind. The reading from Leviticus explains one way the Jews sought to benefit the many, by keeping lepers and leprosy away from the chosen people. Jesus finds a better way. He cures the leper, who immediately reenters the community to spread the good news about Jesus to everyone who will listen. In this way both Jesus and the leper fulfill their calling to glorify the God who fills us “with the joy of salvation.” ———-Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co. HOW ABOUT AN IRISH ADVENTURE AND MORE…… Father Louis Lohan from Co. Galway, would like to invite you to come visit him in Ireland. He will meet us in Dublin and travel with us to Northern Ireland. We will see the hills of Donegal, the Glens of Antrim, Giants Causeway, the “Wild Atlantic Way”, traveling down to Westport, Co. Mayo. Lunch will be served to us in Ashford Castle built in 1228 where many film stars from the classic “The Quiet Man” stayed. In Co. Galway we will have Mass in the church of his Baptism and First Holy Communion. Mix with the locals and have an Irish Stew served by his family on the farm on which he grew up. We will spend our last night in Carton House, a stately mansion built in 1736 and home to two of Ireland's finest championship golf courses. Join us on an eight night - nine day Irish Adventure departing the USA on May 15 and returning on May 24, 2015. For more information, send an email to: [email protected] Another opportunity to travel and discover the snow–capped Alps of Europe. Father Louis will be in Ireland but will “hop” across Europe and meet us in Munich. We will walk places we have only heard of such as Munich, Germany, Salzburg and Innsbruck, Austria and Zurich Switzerland; drive to the garden-like landscape of the Bavarian Alps. One can hear the “Sound of Music” in your head as you travel through these beautiful regions. You are invited to join us on an Alpine Adventure discovering these historic places with Father Louis; departing the USA on September 3 and returning on September 13, 2015. We GIVE to honor Jesus’ call to serve those in need. Please make sure to take home a rice bowl (located by the east/west/front entrance doors) on ASH WEDNESDAY (February 18), share your blessings with those in need, and drop off your rice bowl in the basket on Palm Sunday (March 29).
