Indulge in the royal traditions of England and beautiful British countryside.
DAY 1: FLY TO EUROPE
Joined by our Tour Director, we rest
and relax during an overnight flight to
Great Britain.
DAY 2: ARRI V E LONDON
We are warmly welcomed by our British
Blue Badge, noted as the U.K.’s most
qualified tour guides. Discover some of
the cities famous landmarks before arriving
at our downtown London accommodations
at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge
Hotel late afternoon, where we enjoy a
fabulous three-night stay. Tonight, our
Tour Director hosts a special WAXX
Welcome Dinner at our hotel. D
DAY 3: tour lONDON
After breakfast, a Blue Badge Guide
introduces us to the iconic landmarks,
renowned museums and beautifully
manicured parks of this dynamic capital.
We arrive at the Tower of London. This
enduring fortress houses both Britain’s
Crown Jewels and a medieval collection
of armory and weaponry. Snap a picture
of neighboring Tower Bridge as we cruise
the River Thames. Later, we partake in a
full afternoon tea complete with finger
sandwiches, scones and delicate pastries
at the beautiful Georgian Restaurant in
Harrod’s Department Store. There will be
time to shop and explore Harrod’s after
our tea. Be sure not to miss the fascinating
Edwardian food halls or the sparkling
jewels in the fine jewelry department. B,T
DAY 4: Buckingham Palace
This morning experience the history and
drama of the Churchill Cabinet War Rooms.
Hidden beneath the streets near the
Prime Minister’s dwelling at 10 Downing
Street, these are the bunkers where
Churchill directed WWII. All of the rooms
are almost exactly as they were left at the
end of the war. Next experience the
pomp and ceremony of the changing
of the Queen’s Life Guard at the
Horse Guards Parade. The afternoon
brings a special treat. Embrace the
regal elegance and royal traditions of
Britain’s monarchy during a tour of the
Buckingham Palace State Apartments,
open to visitors just two months of the
year. See the opulent throne and the
rooms the queen uses to entertain
dignitaries and honorees during royal
celebrations and festivities. B
DAY 5: STONEHENGE & BATH
Traveling west we discover Stonehenge,
the most recognized prehistoric
monument in the world. Few places
have generated more speculation
than the mysterious circle of standing
stones known as Stonehenge. Arriving
in Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site, we are introduced to the cultural
richness of honey-hued city. See Bath
Abbey and have leisure time to amble
the streets before we tour the Roman
Baths. Once a magnificent temple and
bathing complex, its extensive ruins
and artifacts have been well-preserved
and the naturally heated mineral waters
still bubble today. We continue our
journey over the border into Wales and
our home for the next two nights in the
capital city of Cardiff. This evening we
enjoy a tour of Cardiff Castle and a fun
exploration of Welsh music and culture
during a banquet in the castle. B,D
DAY 6: Welsh Countryside
This morning we embark on an excursion
into the Welsh countryside for a farm
visit on one of Will Prichard’s farming
operations. Will is a well-travelled
farmer from Wales and has been
around the globe studying innovative
and sustainable farming systems. In
the afternoon, we will visit a mechanized
dairy farm. The Welsh are well-known
for their hospitality and our visit to
these farms is sure to be a day to be
remembered. We will return to Cardiff
late afternoon to enjoy a free evening
to explore the pubs of Cardiff for a
tasty dinner on your own. B
DAY 7: Chester
We head north after leaving Cardiff for
the beautiful old red sandstone mountain
peaks of the Brecon Beacons National
Park located in South Wales. Keep
your eye open for Welsh Mountain
Ponies and Mountain Sheep as we
make our way through the grassy
moorland to the medieval walled city
of Chester, located on the River Dee
and near the border with Wales. We
will learn the fascinating history of this
city on a walking tour with a knowledgeable local guide. Our accommodations
are at the Crowne Plaza Chester Hotel
conveniently located in the city center
near shops and historic pubs. Enjoy a
free evening in this charming city. B
DAY 8: Li v er pool
After breakfast at our hotel, we head
north to the industrial city of Liverpool to
learn about the history of the Fab Four.
A local guide will join us on the coach
and take us on a Magical Mystery Tour
to many of the sites associated with the
Fab Four, such as Penny Lane, Strawberry
Field and the childhood homes of John,
Paul, George and Ringo. After the tour,
we will explore The Beatles Experience
museum. After lunch, we are off to
England’s fabled Lake District, an area
which has inspired artists and poets for
centuries. We will check into the Low
Wood Bay Hotel located in the Lake
& C a rc a nt Fa r m
We start our day with a visit to Hilltop

and beginning the National Trust as
well as fostering the Herdwick sheep
breed local to the area. This afternoon,
we arrive at Carcant Farm, home to
Neth Hill Border Collies. See how
owner Julie Hill, Supreme National

how she trains her collies using her
own developed method. We will arrive
at our home for the next three evenings
in the heart of Edinburgh and enjoy an
included dinner at the hotel. B,D

specialized livestock. Next, we are in for
a real treat, lunch on the farm including
a taste of wild boar and local produce.
What could be better after lunch than
a “wee dram?” We will learn all about
whisky production at the Wild Grouse

Hilltop Farm
Beatrix Potter actively supported the National Trust
for most of her life and left Hilltop and the surrounding land to the Trust upon her death. In 1946, the
Trust opened Hilltop to the public. The beautiful
farmhouse has become increasingly popular with
visitors the world over. Filled with items she treasured, the house is set up as if she just walked out
the door for a stroll.
Tower of London
Located on the banks of the River Thames, this
castle has played a prominent role in England’s
history. Founded in 1066, this fortress served
as an armory, royal mint and notorious prison.
Designated today as a World Heritage Site,
we will view Britain’s Crown Jewels and hear
the ancient secrets of this mighty fortress.
Stonehenge
Located on the Salisbury Plain, this prehistoric
monument has captured the imagination of
visitors for centuries. Explore the site through
the newly completed interactive visitor’s center,
discover the monument and uncover the
theories of this ancient marvel’s construction.
