This sale is likely to be your last chance to buy a quality Jana horse at bargain, auction prices.
On September 26, 2015 we will offer approximately 35 horses: weanlings, yearlings, 2-year-olds, and
a few broke horses and broodmares. These offerings represent 50 years of selective breeding with
the goal of producing versatile performers with excellent dispositions, athleticism, conformation and
color. To achieve this goal, we have used the genetics of the most influential studs in the history of
the breed: King, Leo, Three Bars, Jackie Bee, Joe Hancock, Driftwood and Eddy. We have never
waivered from the belief that the quarter horse must have multiple uses to justify its cost rather than
the event-specific horse which has a high, show-ring failure rate and limited use outside the ring.
Any breeding animal that failed to meet our breeding standards was removed from our program. As
a result, a recent purchaser of a quality, 2-year-old blue roan filly described our 2015 foal crop as
having the most uniform, highest quality foals he has seen.
He raised the question, “What is the association going to
do when breeders like you are
gone”. Other customers have
given similar compliments.
We will place reserves on a
few of our top young horses.
If these reserves are not met,
these horses will be offered
though private sale later.
We are experiencing an
increasing demand in the
private sale of our horses as
the supply of good, versatile
horse declines.
