By: Gina Gilsdorf Monday, all FCCLA members and their advisor, Mrs. Reisdorph, traveled to Litchfield, MN for their region meeting where they presented their STAR events . Everyone who participated at regions qualified for state which will be held in Bloomington on April 16-18. The boys Senior Buzz team consisting of Sam, Austin, Michael and Jordan (at right) were the only team at the meeting meaning they didn’t have to compete and they are moving on to state where they will get to compete against other teams answering FCCLA-related questions. FCCLA members Kassidy, Kayla and Sharon hosted a bake sale at the girls’ game on January 27, for their FCCLA star event. Big thanks to everyone who supported them to make their bake sale successful! They raised a total of $203.25 which is going towards the CGB FCCLA Club. Weekly Senior Of The Week: Collin Kellen By: Dalton Nilson This week’s senior of the week is Collin Kellen. During halftime and timeouts, many commercials were broadcast at an expense of $4.5 million dollars for 30 seconds. Popular commercials include the number one rated commercial by USA Today, Budweiser’s “Lost Dog” commercial that played during the second quarter. Coming in at number two was feminine product Always’ “Like a Girl” ad. Other good ads included Skittles “Settle It,” the always popular Doritos commercials and the Clash of Clans commercial. Katy Perry entertained people during halftime by singing many of her popular songs and making a dramatic entrance on top of a large tiger or lion (you decide) while singing “Roar.” Her performance also included cartoon sharks, surfboards, beach balls and plenty of costume changes.
