The roads depict a reindeer’s head and antlers. Thus, the design was aptly named the Reindeer Antler Town Plan. Arktikum - recording life in the Arctic & the Provincial Museum of Lapland The Provincial Museum of Lapland is located in Arktikum, right by the town centre. The permanent exhibition of the Museum is Northern Ways, which was opened in 2003. The Museum also houses visiting exhibitions. The Arctic Centre operates in the same building as the Provincial Museum. Lapland Chamber Orchestra sounds from the north Korundi House of Culture – a cluster of culture Pilke Exhibition – northern forests The Lapland Chamber Orchestra is the northernmost professional orchestra in the European Union and is one of Finland’s most versatile orchestras. The orchestra has 18 musicians and since 1996 it has been conducted by artistic director John Storgårds. Korundi House of Culture offers art, music and events. Korundi’s main functions revolve around two nationally significant and internationally interesting artistic organisations: the Chamber Orchestra of Lapland and the Rovaniemi Art Museum. The premises of the building are also hired out for other bodies as, for instance, a venue for organising a variety of events.
