The word is getting out and numerous individuals have
already inquired as to how they can take part in the second
th
annual Youth All-American Game or the 10 U.S. Army AllAmerican Game that will be played in January.. In addition in
celebration of the previous 9 years of the U.S. Army AllAmerican Game I have included a link of the top plays in the
history of the game, which is a new feature on
USArmyAllAmericanBowl.com that will be updated weekly.
The link is

The Highland Park Polar
lar Bears are “For Real.” Initially, I
thought the Athletic Director was crazy. Highland Park
has arguably the toughest schedule in the state.
state Imagine
having to play Orchard Lake St. Mary, Detroit Country
Day, Cincinnati Moeller (OH) and Flint Powers Catholic
Catho all
in the same season. Oh, by the way, those are all road
games. Now add in Brother Rice and Inkster at Home.
The
he loss to Brother Rice was a barometer test. Which
even in losing they answered a bunch of questions for
themselves. As the Polar Bears left the field many of the
players on the team stated that they felt more so that
they lost the game,, as opposed to being defeated. This
team is superfast and dangerous, solid defense and
offense. They have taken on that Fresno State Bravado as
they seem to be willing to play anybody, anywhere at any
time, which is validated by having only 3 home games
with this monstrous schedule.
•
Next week,, Highland Park is at Country Day; Lee Bailey,
here is your chance my man, last time you saw a team
with this kind of speed you were a Southfield Falcon
(little league) at practice. Lee,
Lee a junior; has all the tools, it
takes to be a “Blue Chipper” next year, as a senior;
however as for this week, he is a player to watch, at
a both
a running back and a defensive back, take my advice to
all the Yellow Jackets “bring lots of energy drinks and
Gatorade.”

“Playmaker” v. “Game Changer” – A guy ask me “what’s
the difference?” It’s more than the title, Playmakers
makes plays, when needed; to close the game out; at the
most opportune moment. Most times we refer to them
as the “clutch players.” In FBU-Michigan
Michigan we call them the
“players to watch.” Game Changers,, they are the guys
where most of the practice sessions of the opposition are
geared to stop him. These are the guys that fans travel to
see. Everybody on the opposing team knows his name
and number. Simply put, he makes plays as well, but
when this guy does not play, gets hurt, or comes out the
game, his team chances to win are minimized
minimized, his team
calls him the MVP, we call him a “Blue Chipper.”
Shane Morris, Warren DeLaSalle (Freshman)
(Freshman), 6’1” 165lbs
QB is receiving rave reviews, one coach has
as tab him the
number 1 freshman “QB in the State.” Coach, he’s on the
schedule and I know just the game,, to see if he really is
is.
Ok, just one more week, and I still can hardly wait for #4
Macomb Dakota v. #1 Sterling Heights Stevenson on
September 25th. Tom Markowski of the Detroit News
has Stevenson #1 and Dakota #2 in his rankings.
In the meantime, boy #6 Novi (Detroit) Catholic Central
v. #9 Brother Rice,, this is an “Oooh Weee” Special at the
Freshman, JV, and Varsity Level as well as the tailgating
and 50/50 raffle (people are predicting in access of
$5,000 this year.) This maybe the best rivalry in the state.
Kevontae Hollis, Pontiac High, is the most underrated
player in the state. He was at Pontiac Central, two years
ago, and left the state last year. He is on the national
databases; however I have yet to read anything in the
state about him, translation “he is one of the top three
linebackers in the state.” Askk any of the coaches whose
teams have played against him. Hollis has D1 talent, and
a pro body. If you haven’t seen him, and go to see him,
his #52 and plays like Ray Lewis. He’ss a GAME CHANGER,
but you don’t know who he is yet!
Clawson, “are you serious?” The pink uniforms made
quite a statement, but not as loud as the 73
73-16 pounding
that was put on New Haven.
th
Four 2009 8 All-Americans
ns (3 FBU and 1 O

Catholic Central; Trajan Seay and Cheyne Lacanaria
(Offense- Defense Camp), of Brother Rice. Additionally,
two FBU campers, Garrett
arrett Moores, and Robert Coe both
of Catholic Central will join them on the field on
September 19, 2009.
