(south of metro Denver), at the southwest corner of
Lincoln Avenue and I-25.
The Baby-Friendly movement started in 1991.
To be a Baby-Friendly hospital, hospitals must
meet guidelines supporting breastfeeding.
As of 2013 there were 170 Baby-Friendly
hospitals in the U.S., with more than 500
on the way. There are more than 21,000

The American Academy of Pediatrics and
health care providers recommend exclusive
breastfeeding for six months, followed by
continued breastfeeding as complementary foods
are introduced, with breastfeeding continuing for
one year or longer. While we consider breastfeeding
an excellent option, we support every mother's right
to choose what's best for her and her baby.
