Middle School Students of the Mid Term
The Bellevue Middle School has selected Students of the MidTerm. Rayne Kowpak (6th grade), Alycia Iannantuono (7th
grade), and Molly Bullion (8th grade) were selected as students
of the midterm after having their names drawn from the
Positive Behavior Intervention Support PBIS container. To be
eligible students must have C’s or better, no detentions, and
can only miss 1 day of school. These students are an excellent
representation of a Bellevue Middle School student.

Title I Update
The first quarter is complete and we have gotten off
to a great start. Each of the grade levels are getting
into a good routine with daily class work. We have
done a lot of front loading to get students prepared
for their classes each day. In math we have recently
been practicing with fractions, percents, and slopeintercept form in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
respectively. During reading we have been focusing
on vocab and sentence structure in all grade
levels. Be on the lookout for a packet in the mail
with some information about Title I that was
handed out during conference time. If you have
any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Kilgore 1st Place in Calendar Contest
Seventh grader Kailey Kilgore’s calendar design was
a 1st place winner in the Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca
County Joint Solid Waste Management District’s
recycle contest. Congratualtions Kailey!
Middle School Students Attend Asset Team Training
Middle school students in grades 6-8 attended a one-day
training to learn more about youth asset development.
Students developed a plan of action for their school based
to promote the 40 developmental assets. The number of
ways to promote assets is countless so teams have the
opportunity to be creative while meeting the needs of
students in their schools.
The BMS Scholastic Book Fair was a
great success!
Thank you to all the families and students who
supported the book fair. Proceeds will be used to
purchase more than $900 worth of new fiction, historical
fiction, and nonfiction books for the BMS Media Center/
Library.
The ONLINE book fair is still open until November 8.
Books make great Christmas gifts!
