Mothers’ Workshop
“Workshop!” That too for mothers?!!….. Seems to
be strange…as mothers are the best teachers…..
Yes, we are talking about “Mother’s workshop”
which was held in the school premises on 12th
September 2015 for kindergarten mothers.
The motive for organizing this workshop was to
enhance the participation of parents by providing
a sequential overview of the education process.
Separate sessions were planned for each target
group i.e. Pre-Kg, Kg-I, Kg-II. Kindergarten
Coordinator Ms Annu khatri briefly explained
the step by step learning process to the parents
in an hour’s interactive session. During the
interactive sessions parents really enjoyed the
activities planned for them.
Although this workshop was for mothers, hats
off to the fathers who spared some time from
their busy schedule to attend the workshop for
better understanding of learning process.
Concept Room
To make learning a joyful process for the
students, a concept room has been designed for
the Kg section. This room will get a make over
every month when a new concept is introduced.
This month, the theme was Animals. Animals,
whether they are pet, wild or aquatic, always
attract the tiny tots. Children brought the
miniatures of animals and made their own
concept room by making creative corners for
different types of animals. Four corners named
“wild animals”, “domestic animals”, “aquatic
animals” and “insects” were created in the room.
Children visited the room with their respective
class teachers and learned about the animals in a
fun learning way.

Show & Tell
Aquatic Animals
Show and tell is a monthly feature of our kindergarten. This month, the theme for “show and tell” was ‘Animals’.
Children brought the pictures, toys, flash cards of different animals and spoke few sentences about the animals. Show
and tell helps the children to gain confidence and shed off their stage fear. We feel that we are going in a positive
direction to achieve our goal of making our little angles poised by conducting these activities.

healthy heart.
The tiny-tots from Pre-Kg coloured images

Hindi Diwas Celebrations
Hindi Diwas is celebrated across India on 14th September
for commemorating the occasion of adoption of Hindi as
the official language by the Constituent Assembly on 14th
September 1949. Bahrain Indian School too celebrated the
Hindi Diwas with colorful programs. Students performed
various songs, poem, skit and dance.
The Hindi songs of the yore ‘nani teri morni ko mor le
gaye’ and ‘ lakdi ki kathi’ by grade I and II gave great start
to the celebrations. Songs and dances like ‘Desh Rangila’
and more added the zest. Finally, it was the skit by Grade
IV & V that stole the show.
Mr Subhash Nohwar and Ms Anshul Nohwar of the Hindi
Department put in a lot of efforts to train the students
within a short time. Students and teachers loved and
enjoyed all the performance showcased by the students.
The celebrations were enriched by the presence of
our Principal and the Director Ms Ritu Verma, who
appreciated the students and teachers for their great effort
in making Hindi Diwas a grand success.
We salute the spirit of the land of Bahrain which is all
encompassing.
