NSW Senior Dirt Track Deemed Non Event After two unsuccessful attempts at running the 2015 NSW Senior Dirt Track Championships, both of which had to be called off for weather, the Motorcycling NSW Board of Directors have determined that the event will not be run again for 2015. The Coffs Harbour Motorcycle Club put in a huge effort to ensure that the venue was in tip top shape and give the event every opportunity to proceed, however, the one thing beyond their control was the weather which turned against them. Motorcycling NSW would like to thank the Coffs Club for a tremendous effort and the riders for continuing to support the event. With one round of racing completed, no refunds will be provided. IT WAS A CLEAN SWEEP FOR AUSTRALIA IN THE 2016 INTERNATIONAL SIX DAY ENDURO – AND NOW IT’S OFFICIAL! After weeks of deliberation, the announcement was finally made yesterday that the Australian Senior World Trophy Team consisting of riders Daniel Milner, Matt Phillips, Josh Green, Glenn Kearney, Beau Ralston and Lachlan Stanford have been crowned VICTORIOUS after the contentious 2015 ISDE!! France was initially announced as first place despite a number of their riders missing a check point throughout the event and being subsequently disqualified and then reinstated upon protest. The entire matter was referred to an international court who determined that the French riders would remain disqualified and reinstated the Australian team’s rightful position. The confirmation that the Senior Trophy Team took out first place results in a clean sweep for Australia who also took out the Women’s and Junior Titles! Congratulations all round guys and girls, the World’s best Enduro riders are from Australia – WHAT AN HONOUR!! MA announces Australian Superbike Championship plans for 2016 – 2019 The future of the Australian Superbike Championship is now more secure than ever, after Motorcycling Australia (MA) announced a new partnership with Troy Bayliss Events (TBE). In a multi-year joint venture between MA and TBE, the new motoSBK (the official Australian Superbike Championship) will then move to a summer-based calendar, commencing in October 2016 and concluding in April 2017 – for a three-year period.
