ARTISTS OF TOMORROW Ren Otsaka, 6 years old, winner. His artwork ‘dream into space’ - retouched. Happy young artist wins his own designed bike Chillafish makes kid’s dream come true August 2015, 24th JAPAN - Young Ren Otsaka, 6 years old, is the happy winner of the Artists of Tomorrow contest. His artwork, titled ‘Dream into Space’, is being printed on the Chillafish bunzi balance bike and sold worldwide. Chillafish, producer of a complete range of balance bikes, teamed up with the country’s dedicated toy retailer ToysRUs and undertook the fun mission of finding a young and inspired artist. Hundreds of applications and thousands of votes later, they are happy to announce their winner. Developed by The CHILLAFISH Company, Chillafish bunzi is an adjustable ride-on toy for children aged 1-3 that can be used as a tricycle or a balance bike depending on the child’s developmental stage. The Chillafish bunzi received a Dr. Toy award in 2013 and was also named a Gold Winner at the 2014 National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA), one of the longest running children’s products awards programs in the United States. The new limited edition bunzi is called ‘Dream into space’. Young Ren is fascinated by space as someday he wants to become an astronaut. The bunzi with the artwork of this dream will be sold all over the world from beginning of November. By asking children to create original artwork that will be incorporated into a real, tangible product, the Artists of Tomorrow contest gives kids an opportunity to experience the joy of creative expression and helps teach them the importance of taking on a challenge. This is the first time a bunzi is produced with the artwork of a kid, but Chillafish regularly invites artists all over the world to join their limited edition program, called Chillafish FAD - Fabulously Artistic Designs.
