June 2015 - Tucson Chapter ANG
THE NEEDLE DANCER American Needlepoint Guild http://www.tucsonang.org June 2015 President’s Letter Well here we are again at the beginning of a new ANG year. And once again you have voted me in as your president. I take it that I did not do too bad my first year and I will try to do my best again this year. Thank you all for your support. Pat Nelson and Jan Morgan are working together as we speak on a new year of exciting and educational programs. Last year we had some different and interesting programs and I know Pat and Jan will do the same for the coming year. I want to get our chapter out in the public eye. I will be planning several small stitch ins this summer at various locations. Please join me for an hour or two of stitching in public. We might pick up some new members. It is the time of the year to start thinking about Amado. You will find the information and a form to fill out and send in with your check. Please hold off on your checks until July 1 since Linda Kanora will be visiting family and friends on the East coast until mid-July. Our name for this year is “Lucky 13 in Amado” since this is our 13th year at the Amado Territory Inn. Our theme this year is lucky objects in our world and the colors are turquoise, black and copper. And before you ask, there will be bingo again both nights with wonderful prizes. We always have a wonderful time when we are there and, once again, if we fill the inn and hacienda up, we will be able to work in our pajamas. Also, our retired Camp Counselor, Margaret Von Kuegelgen, will be returning to visit us. Well, I now have to make some phone calls for ANG and then hope to work a little on my summer challenge. So many stitches left to go.
