The route is located in the low-medium zone of Friuli Plain, famous zone for "risorgive". The path crosses 5 municipalities, all in plain and with dirt roads, except near to villages. The part
of the route along "Risorgive di Flambro" - a lot of the gallery pictures have been taken there - is very interesting: it passes for a gangway into lawns and lakes of a biotope.
The route starts in Mortegliano town, close to Cormor stream, that can be passed on the ford or on the bridge. So, you go ahead on country roads arriving to Chiasiellis village, where
you'll run on tarmac road up to Castions town. Crossed it, you'll take a country road: the road is dirt up to the end of the route.
The roads cross the low-medium Friuli farmland, reclaimed one century ago. After, you'll reach the risorgive park: there you'll see the nature surrounding, not changed by men. This zone
is at the half of the route; the return is similar to the outward, all in farmland ambient.
Total length of 43 km.
Note: the track part into the Flambro biotope is not a cycling lane or, to be precise, it is forbidden to run on the gangway by bike. The reason is that the gangway bottom is in wood, very
slippery. If it is slippery or there are visitors by foot, it's suggested (and kind) pass this hundreds of metres by foot, with bike at your side.

Picture on a small bridge.
Into the reserve.
The rivers source in this zone, the word "risorgive"
means "source again". This water is really transparent.
