and to providing an understanding and love of music that will last
for a lifetime.”
Music Stream Center has served the Yolo County area since 2003. From our
beginnings as a very small school, we have grown to become the most
comprehensive music school in our area. Our staff consists of dedicated teachers
with advanced degrees in performance and pedagogy. Our teachers collaborate
using our collective experience to help each student reach their full potential.
Getting Started at Music Stream Center
Research has shown that very young children can develop an awareness of pitch
and musical concepts. If left untapped, this natural feeling for music may never
be developed. We offer Harmony Road Music Course—an internationally
successful piano based music program for children as young as two years of age.
This exciting, comprehensive American group music program is designed to help
children discover the world of music through motivating materials and “hands on”
activities, which develop each child into a well-rounded musician.
We recommend all beginning piano students start with a group
class. Our group class program allows children to begin their music education in
a more fun and interactive way using materials specifically designed for each
developmental stage of the child. The method incorporates movement, rhythm,
composition, improvisation, singing, sharing, and playing to result in young
musicians who are truly gifted and well rounded. Our unique combination of
private lessons, musicianship classes and music lab program is for intermediate
and advanced piano students, and guitar, violin, cello, and oboe students.
Each of us has two native languages.
Both are learned early...both stay with us for a lifetime. One is
music.

First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your support
of Davis Parent Nursery School. The 2016 DPNS Auction is the primary
fundraising event for our school, helping to sustain an amazing experience for our
children. Without the effort of current and alumni families, our dedicated auction
committee, and all the generous donors from our community, this event would
not be possible.
Here is what you can expect at the DPNS Hop: delicious food, good music,

The evening will begin with our Silent Auction, full of fantastic items. From gift

experiences prepared by DPNS families, from family-fun adventures to parties and
get-togethers—there is something for everyone! Be on the lookout for our new
auction opportunity: the ability to steal back items you were outbid on. If you

After opening your wallets, it will be time to open your mouths and eat! What says

We offer martial arts lessons to all ages—from three years old
and up. Getting started is simple: just call our program director at
530-758-5431, send us an email, or visit us in person and set up
a free orientation meeting. During the meeting, our program
director will explain our system, give you a tour of our facility, and
teach you a few basic techniques that will allow you to hop into
class.
Not ready to start just yet? You’re welcome to drop in and watch
classes. Our team members will be happy to answer any
questions you might have.
We offer day camps many times throughout the year, from single
holidays to weeklong camps in the spring and summer.
Drop-off time is between 7:45 and 9:00 am, and pick-up time
is between 3:00 and 5:30pm.
Our Cardio Kickboxing program is designed for people who want
to embrace a healthy, fitness-oriented lifestyle. Our classes offer
techniques and drills that you won’t get in a regular fitness class
or gym. Though we add a martial arts flair to our instruction, there
are no ranks and no tests. Just an hour-long class that will
challenge you to go past your limits.

So glad you are all joining us for such a swell night!
Each year, I really look forward to the auction. It is so much fun—a night out with
my sweetie and my awesome DPNS family, lots of dancing (without a child in my
arms!), and raising tons of money for the school we all care so much about. The
annual auction is DPNS’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It supplies 70 percent of
the annual fundraising budget, which is absolutely essential to funding our school.
Did you know all our income comes from fundraising and tuition? That income
pays for our teachers, site maintenance and equipment, supplies—everything that’s
needed to make our school run. That’s why it’s so important for us to come
together to not only solicit and donate awesome items, but also to bid on them.
In this year’s catalog, we have a ton of items donated from our teachers, families,
and local businesses. Take a look and see what you might be interested in—and
don’t forget to hit the bidding sheets as soon as you arrive at the auction…and
check them before the Silent Auction closes! Then enjoy raising those numbers for

The night of the event, you’ll receive a bidder number when you check in. To
place a bid during the Silent Auction, write the amount you are willing to pay
and your bidder number on the bid form displayed with each item. You may bid
multiple times on the same item, and you may bid on as many items as you wish
for the duration of the Silent Auction. At the end of the Silent Auction, if
auction officials designate your bid(s) as the highest, this forms a legal contract to
purchase the item(s). If you were outbid on an item that you really wanted, then
you may use a Steal-It-Back ticket. The Steal-It-Back option gives all bidders
the opportunity to steal back an item they were outbid on when the Silent
Auction closed. The use of said ticket will override the closing bid and exceed it
in the amount of $50. Steal It Back tickets will be added onto bidder invoices
and purchased by the bidder at checkout for $50 apiece. Steal It Back tickets may
only be used once a silent auction bidding section has closed.
The Live Auction will begin after the Silent Auction closes and will continue
until all items have been auctioned. To participate in the Live Auction, hold your
bid card in the air so the auctioneer (and Live Auction bid assistants) can see the
number. Please be aware that if the auctioneer accepts your bid, you’ve entered a

The night of the event, you’ll receive a bidder number when you check in. To
place a bid during the Silent Auction, write the amount you are willing to pay
and your bidder number on the bid form displayed with each item. You may bid
multiple times on the same item, and you may bid on as many items as you wish
for the duration of the Silent Auction. At the end of the Silent Auction, if
auction officials designate your bid(s) as the highest, this forms a legal contract to
purchase the item(s). If you were outbid on an item that you really wanted, then
you may use a Steal-It-Back ticket. The Steal-It-Back option gives all bidders
the opportunity to steal back an item they were outbid on when the Silent
Auction closed. The use of said ticket will override the closing bid and exceed it
in the amount of $50. Steal It Back tickets will be added onto bidder invoices
and purchased by the bidder at checkout for $50 apiece. Steal It Back tickets may
only be used once a silent auction bidding section has closed.
The Live Auction will begin after the Silent Auction closes and will continue
until all items have been auctioned. To participate in the Live Auction, hold your
bid card in the air so the auctioneer (and Live Auction bid assistants) can see the

Each year, I really look forward to the auction. It is so much fun—a night out with
my sweetie and my awesome DPNS family, lots of dancing (without a child in my
arms!), and raising tons of money for the school we all care so much about. The
annual auction is DPNS’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It supplies 70 percent of
the annual fundraising budget, which is absolutely essential to funding our school.

First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your support
of Davis Parent Nursery School. The 2016 DPNS Auction is the primary
fundraising event for our school, helping to sustain an amazing experience for our
children. Without the effort of current and alumni families, our dedicated auction
committee, and all the generous donors from our community, this event would
not be possible.
Here is what you can expect at the DPNS Hop: delicious food, good music,
fantastic items, and great company!
The evening will begin with our Silent Auction, full of fantastic items. From gift
cards and packages donated by your favorite local businesses to culinary
experiences prepared by DPNS families, from family-fun adventures to parties and
get-togethers—there is something for everyone! Be on the lookout for our new
auction opportunity: the ability to steal back items you were outbid on. If you
missed out on that silent auction item you were eyeing, fret not! Choose the StealIt-Back option and, for $50 above the closing price, the coveted item will be yours.
After opening your wallets, it will be time to open your mouths and eat! What says
1950s more than burgers and fries at the drive-in? Enjoy a tasty dinner courtesy of
Krushburger and bid on a dessert in our Cake Raffle featuring Ettore’s delicious
confections.
Once your belly is full, get ready to shake, rattle ‘n’ roll on the dance floor!
Whether it is a timeless Elvis song or your favorite dance hit, you will be hoppin’
and boppin’ in no time. And don’t forget to swing by the photo booth to take
home some memories.
In between bidding, eating, and dancing, you will be able to spend the night
chatting with fellow DPNS families and friends. This event is about building
community and having fun, so please enjoy yourself and rock around the clock!

Music Stream Center has served the Yolo County area since 2003. From our
beginnings as a very small school, we have grown to become the most
comprehensive music school in our area. Our staff consists of dedicated teachers
with advanced degrees in performance and pedagogy. Our teachers collaborate
using our collective experience to help each student reach their full potential.
Getting Started at Music Stream Center
Research has shown that very young children can develop an awareness of pitch
and musical concepts. If left untapped, this natural feeling for music may never
be developed. We offer Harmony Road Music Course—an internationally
successful piano based music program for children as young as two years of age.
This exciting, comprehensive American group music program is designed to help
children discover the world of music through motivating materials and “hands on”
activities, which develop each child into a well-rounded musician.
We recommend all beginning piano students start with a group
class. Our group class program allows children to begin their music education in
a more fun and interactive way using materials specifically designed for each
developmental stage of the child. The method incorporates movement, rhythm,
composition, improvisation, singing, sharing, and playing to result in young
musicians who are truly gifted and well rounded. Our unique combination of
private lessons, musicianship classes and music lab program is for intermediate
and advanced piano students, and guitar, violin, cello, and oboe students.
Each of us has two native languages.
Both are learned early...both stay with us for a lifetime. One is
music.
