so far.

doing very well and are

We’re just getting back
from our state convention,
we had a record number of
attendees this year, our
very own Tommy McClain
received his Fellowship
Degree of Honor, the over
all theme of the
convention, as it has been
in our Lodge and Moose
Legion is retention. Getting
those members to renew
their dues each year. If
you are aware of someone
that has let his or her dues
lapse please encourage
them to renew.

The Punta Gorda Moose Riders
“Obstacles are those

eyes off the goal.”
Florida just had its annual
convention and Moose
Riders were privileged to
make presentations in
both the Men’s and
Women’s sessions. The
Moose Riders State
Secretary was proud to
announce to the WOTM
that during the past year,
Florida Moose Riders
raised and/or donated
$108,551 –63% more than
we did one year ago.
Funds were raised for a
variety of cause including
our top 3 charities,
Mooseheart,
Moosehaven, and the
Florida Sheriffs Youth
Ranches, plus charities
like Epilepsy and
Leukemia, local human
societies, local high
schools, toy runs, fellow
Moose members in need,
or even just repairs or
improvements to Lodges,
We want to thank each
and every person who
helped make this happen
including some of you
from other states who either
helped by sponsoring one of
our events, or actually
showing up!

The Higher Degree
The Higher Degree is
made of those individuals
that hold degrees that are
concerned about
Mooseheart and
Moosehaven and the
membership it takes to be
able to keep our seniors
happy and healthy and
our children safe and
educated and loved. It is
their responsibility to help
the lodges and chapters
maintain the membership
and harmony. We need all
degree holders to step up
and join to help make sure
that the Higher Degree is
indeed doing their part in
ensuing the membership
that the Organization
needs to be fruitful.

Well another end year
Convention in Tampa has
come and gone. With Linda
Wimpees help we sold about
410 Lodge directories. That
raised $831.00 that we
donated to the FBMA
earmarked for the
Moosehaven irrigation
system. Thank you to Connie
Mantor, Linda Wimpee, Patty
Anderson and of course Lee
for all the help and support in
this project. I have a lot of
books left over and will have
them on sale in the Lodge for
$2.00. I will also be taking
them to the District mtgs.
And Moose Legion
celebrations if you are
interested please ask me.
