A Friday Finish...Perkiomen Daydreams
A Friday Finish...Perkiomen Daydreams Lookie…Lookie..It’s finished!! This is my UFO #2 and it is FINISHED!! You can find the pattern in Bonnie Hunters Scraps & Shirttails: Reuse, Re-pupose, Recycle! The Art of “Quilting Green” . This is actually a joint finish with my daughter Kelli. Two years ago we started a journey to make FOUR of these quilts. Mine is #3. Kelli’s quilt still isn’t finished. It’s on my UFO list though. If Country Threads picks UFO #1, then its will time to finish up Kelli’s quilt. You can see my complete UFO list here. I am so happy that I’m on this UFO journey. It makes me feel so good to get these finished. There is something truly amazing about this quilt…maybe it’s the 400 blocks…maybe it’s the 10,000 pieces that finish at 1″. Whatever it is..I love it! Here are the two we previously made. Here’s the blog post about them. I thought I could give my scraps away to someone else then my son Karl said, “Mom, if you ever make me another quilt, I’d like one of those”. Well if Karl gets on then Kalissa will be the only one that doesn’t have one. Really….I don’t think I have two more of these quilts in me. I can say that I have made wonderful use of this quilt book. We’ve made three of Perkiomen Daydreams quilts from Scraps & Shirttails: Reuse, Re-pupose, Recycle! The Art of “Quilting Green”. We’ve also made Cactus Patch, Hand Me Downs, and Bargello in Plaid. Kelli has Virginia Bound almost finished and I have one started. This is a quilt book that was definitely worth the money. Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays and Crazy Mom Quilts. You can also find us on Moda Bake Shop for their Every Quilt has a Story feature…and here’s a link to today’s current post here at Jo’s Country Junction.
