Roof Renovation@ Your Library
The 2011-2012 Library Budget passed 305 Yes to 112 No.
Incumbent Renee Steinig was re-elected. Thank you for your support!
The Dix Hills Roof and Solar Project has officially begun.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
The first part of the project is the removal of the skylight in the
Children’s Department and the re-roofing of the front of the
building. For about 6 – 8 weeks, certain children’s collections will
be unavailable since they have been boxed up and are no longer
on the Main Level. We apologize for the inconvenience. Unavailable
collections include the parents’ and teacher’s collections, music
CDs and picture books with CDs, audio books, Picture Books Plus
and Reference. Parts of other collections will also be unavailable;
picture books, easy readers, board books, graphic novels, mysteries,
fantasies and science fiction.
If you cannot find what you are looking for, please speak with a
children’s librarian. We will most likely be able to get whatever you
need either from the Melville building or from another library.
Please check our webpage at hhhlibrary.org for updates. Thank you.
If you have any suggestions or concerns, please contact me, Michele
Lauer-Bader, Library Director, at (631) 421-4530, ext. 348 or e-mail
me at: [email protected]
