Alpinestars Weekender 17 AUGUST 2015 LORENZO - U-Bike
Alpinestars Weekender 17 AUGUST 2015 LORENZO UNTOUCHABLE IN BRNO Jorge Lorenzo emphatically won the MotoGP of the Czech Republic to put himself joint top of the title standings with teammate Valentino Rossi. Jorge pulled away from the pack in the first lap and, as at Indianapolis last weekend, fought a long battle with Marc Marquez. But, unlike last time out, Jorge managed his times on the softer tire compound, charging into an unassailable lead for his fifth win of the season. MARQUEZ MOVES IN ON TOP PAIR With Jorge tied with team-mate Rossi at the top of the standings, Marquez's second place in Brno means he moves closer to the Yamaha pair; clawing back much needed points, he is now 52 points behind with seven rounds to go. BASTIANINI PODIUMS AT BRNO Gresini Racing’s Enea Bastianini took an 11-point chunk out of Danny Kent's Moto3 championship lead by placing second in Brno behind Niccolo Antonelli. There are only 45 points separating the pair with seven GPs remaining. BARCIA DELIVERS PODIUM AT UTAH At the penultimate round of the Pro Motocross 450cc Championship at Tooele, Utah Justin Barcia claimed an overall third behind Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen. In the 250s it finished Jeremy Martin, Marvin Musquin and Cooper Webb. BUSCH TAKES TRUCK SERIES WIN Kyle Busch took his second victory in the Camping World Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway. Kyle has 44 career wins to date in the series, and means he has now won in all race divisions at the iconic track. Copyright © 2015 Alpinestars, All rights reserved.
