FROM YOUR PASTOR:
"We love because he first loved us."
1 John 4:19
John 3:16 is likely the most recognized passage in all of the
New Testament. It contains the gospel in a nutshell by
reminding us that God loves us and sent his son for us. As
the church, it is this love of God that compels us to love
others. As we continue in our 2015 preaching theme of the
"Church Unleashed," this month we will focus on "Love
Unleashed." Throughout this month, we will discover
what love looks like and how we can unleash that love on
those around us.
There are several important events coming up this month
that will provide an opportunity for worship and
fellowship.
First on the calendar is our annual
Appreciation Banquet. This banquet will be held on
Tuesday, February 3rd and is an opportunity for our
church staff to show our appreciation for all you do. I hope
you will make plans to attend. The next event on our
calendar this month is our Valentine Banquet. We will
gather in our activities building on Sunday, February 15th
during our Evening Worship hour and enjoy a "sweet" time
of fellowship with your favorite finger foods and
desserts. Finally, on Thursday, February 26th, our church
will host The Hoppers in concert. You will not want to
miss this special event! You may purchase tickets in the
welcome center after our Sunday Services or in the church
office during the week.
I look forward to seeing you this month in Sunday School
and Worship!
Expecting Great Things,
Will

Calendar Events for February
The Hoppers are coming!
In just a little over a month, our church will be fortunate enough to host a stop on The Hoppers 58th Anniversary
tour. On Thursday, February 26th, they will be playing songs spanning their entire career, and both our Worship
Choir and Children’s Choir will be singing alongside them on select numbers.
February Greeters
Meet in the Welcome Center
Sunday, February 1st at 8:30 a.m.
Tickets are $20 and if you haven’t purchased yours yet, I encourage you to pick them up by visiting the church office
or by going by the Welcome Center after church any Sunday morning between now and the show.
Children’s Team Meeting
February 1st at 4:30 p.m.-KidZone
In the meantime, we need your help in making this event a success! First, would you help us get the word out? Tell
all of your friends and family about the event and how they can get tickets. We have printed some flyers that are
available in the Welcome Center. If you could take a few and hang them at your office or at businesses you frequent,
that would help us tremendously. Also, be sure to share any Facebook posts you see from the church regarding this
event.
Second, we are in need of some volunteers for the day/night of the concert. We need greeters to take up tickets,
ushers to be in the Sanctuary to assist our guests, parking lot attendants to help us manage the traffic, some
volunteers that can help The Hoppers unload and the load their merchandise and other gear, and a few people to
help us serve dinner to The Hoppers and their crew. If you would be interested in helping with any of these jobs,
there will be signup lists available at the Welcome Center beginning Sunday after church, as well as during the week
by calling the Church Office.
Finally and most importantly, be in prayer for this event. Pray that it would serve as a night not only of enjoyable
music, but a night that God is glorified in our community, a night where God uses The Hoppers to proclaim the
Gospel to all present, a night that people might be added to the kingdom of God.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Timmy

Student Ministry Moment:
I hope this finds you all in great health and happiness. Our trip to Passion Conference 2015 in Atlanta,
Georgia was amazing. The speakers were great and having the chance to worship The Lord with thousands of others
in a giant arena leaves me speechless. It was such a great event for our High School Seniors and College Students to
attend. To all of you who helped our students attend the conference by purchasing items from our bake sale over the
past few weeks, Thank You! Now that January is about over and February is just around the corner we will shift
gears and begin our preparation for our Unite gatherings. We have a Unite gathering in February and our Unite
D-NOW the first of March. January has been good to us but I look forward to all Jesus has in store for our Student
Ministry in February. Stay Warm!

Anyone who would like to be a part of this exciting journey is
welcome. There will be a sign-up sheet at he KidZone desk. We will
need teachers, individuals to help with decorations, someone to
prepare food, group leaders, music leaders, and registration assistants,
just to name a few. Our children need all of us to help them on their
spiritual journey.
Isaiah 30:21, Whether you turn to the right or the left, your ears will
hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it".
