The dogma of faith which forms the object of the
feast is this: There is one God and in this one God there
are three Divine Persons; the Father is God, the Son is
God, the Holy Spirit is God. The Father is not more
God than the Son, neither is the Son more God than the
Holy Spirit.
This feast, which falls on the first Sunday after
Pentecost, should make us mindful that actually every
Sunday is devoted to the honor of the Most Holy
Trinity, that every Sunday is sanctified and consecrated
to the Triune God. Sunday after Sunday we should
recall in a spirit of gratitude the gifts which the Blessed
Trinity is bestowing upon us. The Father created and
predestined us; on the first day of the week He began
the work of creation. The Son redeemed us; Sunday is
the "Day of the Lord," the day of His Resurrection. The
Holy Spirit sanctified us, made us His temple; on
Sunday the Holy Spirit descended upon the infant
Church. Sunday, therefore, is the day of the Most Holy
Trinity.

Coffee Hour after the Masses
St. Stanislaus Kostka Church – Rochester, New York
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
My heart is filled with great joy and deep gratitude
that I was blessed to celebrate the anniversary of my
ordination to the priesthood with all of you on the
solemnity of Pentecost. It was particularly memorable
since I celebrated my first Mass 25 years ago on Pentecost
Sunday.
First, I must thank God with my whole heart for
calling me to serve Him through the vocation to the
priesthood. With His Grace, I have been able to bring Him
to others through the Mass and the sacraments for 25 years
and if it is His Will, for many, many more years. I am also
most grateful to my parents and family for all their prayers,
encouragement and support they have given to me
throughout my life. Their strength and love helped me to
discern and accept God’s Call.
There are many, many people who planned and
celebrated the liturgy for this holy remembrance of my
priesthood and prepared the wonderful reception.
I am grateful for the prayers and support of Bishop
Salvatore Matano. Thank you to: Bishop Emeritus
Matthew Clark, who celebrated the Mass and prayed for
me on this occasion. I am very grateful that he assigned me
to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church where I am able to serve
the needs of all as well as to continue the Polish liturgies
and traditions. My fellow brothers in Christ, Fr. Tadeusz
Rudnik and Fr. Fred Helfrich who concelebrated the Mass.
Deacon Ray and Sr. Mary Ann Binsack who assisted in the
liturgy. All the different ministries who participated in
making the celebration go smoothly and keeping the
liturgical space holy and reverent: the Altar Servers, Polish
and Polyphonic Choirs, Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters,
Lectors, Liturgy Committee, Ushers. The Knights of
Columbus and all the organizations that added to the
beauty and solemnity of this Mass: Polish Language
School Children, PNA, Polonia Civic Center, Polish
Veterans, Polish Self-Support Group, and Polish Falcons.
Thank you to the Social Concerns Committee, Ludwika
Kardela, Anna Bachner and crew for their hard work
preparing the delicious food and an atmosphere of
friendship and love that strengthened our bond as a parish
family. Thank you to all the staff, organizations and
committees that help this parish to grow spiritually, keep it
in good condition and maintain its beauty: Holy Name of
Jesus, Ladies Society, the Sisters of Mercy and the Sisters
of St. Joseph, Parish Council, Friends of St. Stanislaus,
Festival Committee, Building and Grounds Committee,
Finance Committee and all the many other subcommittees.
And finally, thank you to all of you my dear and
faithful parishioners, I am humbled by your continued
generous giving of time, talent and treasure. Without you,
being a servant of God and fulfilling His Call would be
difficult for me.
Your pastor, Fr. Roman Caly

75th Anniversary of Martyrdom of St. Maximilian
Kolbe, Syracuse NY
In commemoration of the 75th Anniversary, St. Maximilians’
relics will be in Syracuse for veneration. St. Maximilian Kolbe
was a Franciscan Friar who was killed at Auschwitz by the Nazis.
He sacrificed his life to take the place of a young father who had
been selected for execution. This selfless act of love made him a
martyr of charity. Ultimately Kolbe was killed by injection of
poison and for this reason he is also the patron saint of people
with addictions.
