In den 50er Jahren wurden die Peanuts von Charles M. Schulz zum Leben
erweckt. 2015 feiern sie große Premiere. Pünktlich vor Weihnachten kann
man Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy und Kuscheldeckenliebhaber Linus in
den Kinos sehen. CODELLO nahm das zum Anlass, allen Fans eine neue
Kollektion mit den sympathischen Charakteren zu kreieren. Neben individuellen Tüchern und Schals gibt es die Peanuts auf Shoppern, Pencil-Cases,
Regenschirmen und Kissen. Hauptinspiration für die neuen Sommer-Styles
lieferte der Soft-Pop Trend mit Pastellfarben, plakativen Mustern und liebevoll gezeichneten Comic-Elementen. Neben den Peanuts-Freunden tummeln sich süße Donuts, cooles Eis und vorlaute Sprechblasen auf seidenen
Carrés und Taschen. Sie erinnern an einen unbeschwerten Sommer mit
viel Sonne, Softeis und Freibadbesuchen… It´s playtime!
Charles M. Schulz created the Peanuts characters in the 1950s. In 2015,
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and blanket-clutching Linus will hit the big
screens in the run-up to Christmas. CODELLO decided this was also a
good reason to create a new collection for fans of the lovable Peanuts
characters adorn shopper bags, pencil cases, umbrellas and cushions as
well as a range of foulards and scarves. The biggest inspiration behind the
new summer styles is the soft pop trend with its pastel colours, bold patterns and lovingly drawn cartoon motifs. The Peanuts characters appear
alongside cute doughnuts, cool ice creams and cheeky speech bubbles
on silk squares and bags. All of this conjures up the thought of a carefree
summer with plenty of sun, ice creams and swimming. It’s playtime!

Patchworks. Patchwork ist die englische Bezeichnung für Flickwerk. In den
Seventies war dies eine beliebte Methode der Hippies, um alte Stoffreste

und feinsten Qualitäten zu neuem Glanz und Modernität verholfen. Feingezeichnete Blüten-, Paisley- und Schlangenmotive vereinen sich hier in
übergroßen Tüchern, Capes und Kimonos aus Seide, Kaschmir und Modal.
Begleitet werden sie von aufwändig bestickten Ledertaschen und Gürteln.

This summer, patchwork designs dominate the carefully selected pieces in
this collection. Patchwork was popular with hippies in the 1970s as a way
of using old leftover scraps of fabric. This technique also resulted in cool,
unique outfits. Now, the hippie look is being given sophisticated makeover
for 2016. Digital printing, elaborately tooled leather and the very finest
fabrics offer a modern, glamorous new take on the original patchwork
idea. Finely drawn floral, paisley and snakeskin motifs come together on
extra-large foulards, capes and kimonos made from silk, cashmere and
modal. They are twinned with lavishly embroidered leather bags and belts.

Über das beliebte Paisley könnte man eine lange Geschichte schreiben.
Ursprünglich stammt es aus Persien, gelangte im 19. Jahrhundert über die
Kolonie Indien nach England. Dort fand Königin Victoria Gefallen daran
und kreierte damit einen Modetrend, der bis heute anhält. Sie ließ es aus
Kostengründen in der schottischen Stadt Paisley herstellen und benannte es gleich nach dieser. Eine erneute Renaissance erlebte das Motiv im
Rahmen der Hippie-Bewegung. Und auch heute ist Paisley so beliebt wie
zu Victorias Zeiten. Nur allzu gern beugen wir uns ihrem Modediktat und
kleiden uns in seidene Tücher und fließende Kimonos, bedruckt mit den
wunderbar verschnörkelt gezeichneten Motiven – und das in den neuen,
frischen Blau-Nuancen der Saison. Darin fühlen wir uns dem Himmel ein

You could write a whole book about the enduringly popular paisley. It
originated in Persia and came to England in the 19th century via the colony in India. Queen Victoria took a liking to the pattern, sparking a fashion
trend that remains popular to this day. To make it less costly, she had it
made in the Scottish town of Paisley and named it accordingly. The pattern
experienced another renaissance during the hippie movement. Even now,

It all began with a silk scarf and a vision: when native Italian Rinaldo Codello came to Munich from Turin around 75 years ago, he brought with him his very own idea of a classic silk square. The company
was taken over by the Schnabl family in the 1980s and is now being run by the second generation,
Miriam and Michael Schnabl, from its headquarters in Munich.
