THE CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER – SARASOTA, FLORIDA
The 11th Sunday after Pentecost (Yr A RCL)
24 August 2014
WELCOME VISITORS!
The Church of the Redeemer is delighted to have you with us
today to share in our mission to know, love, worship and obey our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Whether this is your first, second, or third visit, please help us welcome you by wearing a visitor name tag found inside the parish brochure
in the pew racks in front of you. We also invite you to join us for coffee
and Christian fellowship after the services on the veranda (weather permitting) or inside Gillespie Hall. Look for the Welcome Table in Gillespie
Hall. As you exit the front of the church, simply follow the pathway to
your right, past our Rose Garden, and around to the veranda and Gillespie
Hall.
If you would like to receive more information about our services,
ministries, and mission, or to be placed on our mailing list, please fill out
the Visitor Card attached to the visitor name tag, and place it in the offering plate, or hand it to an usher, and be sure to come to the Welcome Table
in Gillespie Hall. We hope you will choose to return to the Church of the
Redeemer and invite you to call on us at any time (955.4263) or visit our
website (www.redeemersarasota.org).

set for Saturday, 20 September, at 8:30 AM, Legacy Golf Club,

place as last year). The format is also the same, 4-man scramble,
which includes cart, range balls, lunch and prizes all for a very
low price of $80.00! Sponsorship opportunities for anyone are
most appreciated. For nearly two decades, the Men of Redeemer
have enjoyed this fun tradition together and several years ago
MOR made this event its main fundraiser so we can help support
such projects as our Men’s Ministry Programs, Cub Scout Pack
24, and Day Of Hope. Please contact Jeff Kern at 941.356.9516 or
Bill Brush at 941.374.4709.
Volunteers wanted . . .
Prayer is an important part of the spiritual vitality within our
Redeemer family. A team of intercessors gathers daily at 8:30 AM
Morning Prayer and 5:15 PM Evening prayer to pray for our parish, using the Daily Office found in the Book of Common Prayer.
Throughout the year every member of the parish is prayed for by
name at one of these services, and we pray for specific needs of
parishioners. We invite you to become part of this meaningful
ministry. Commitment is one Morning or Evening prayer weekly.
Training will be arranged at a time convenient for you. If you
would like to participate in this ministry, please call Father
Marsden, 955.4263, or Don Laronge, 371.6863.
