This document includes all the regulations and all other important information regarding the
technical and competition part of the 17th Luxembourg Euro Meet 2015.
Complementary to the regulations, a team guide is available which provides you with all other
important and more practical information and helps you to organize yourself in the best
possible way for the trip to Luxembourg.

Age categories entries:
The age groups of the Euro Meet 2015 are the following:
Youth
Junior
Open
Men
Women
1999/2000
1997/1998
1996+
2001/2002
1999/2000
1998+
No entries are accepted for women born after 2002 and men born after 2000.
Events:
The 2015 edition of the Luxembourg Euro Meet includes 32 individual events and 2 relay
events. In all 32 individual events a classification will be done in the three age categories
“Junior”, “Youth” and “Open”.
Classification in the age categories “Junior” and “Youth” will be done according to the results
in the heats/direct finals.
Classification in the “Open” category will be done according to the results in the
A-finals/direct finals.
In the relay events a classification will be done in the “Open” category only.
Entry fee:
The entry fees are as follows:

One-time entry fee per team, club or national federation: 20.- Euro
Entry fee for an individual event: 13.- Euro.
Entry fee for a relay event: 15.- Euro
For individual entries, where the time standard is reached by the athlete, 3 Euro will be
reimbursed. No restitution will be paid for a relay or for absence.

The restitution will be paid directly to your bank account a few days after the competition.
Restitution in cash is not possible. Therefore, please do not forget to indicate your
IBAN bank account number and BIC code to the OC during registration.
The bank account details have to be indicated to the OC by Sunday evening before the end
of the final session latest. Otherwise a refund will not be possible.
The entry fees have to be paid latest by Friday January 23rd, 2015 via telegraphic bank
transfer on the following account:

If the transfer of the money has been made only a few days before the event please bring a
copy of your bank transaction receipt. The OC accepts all current credit cards (except
American Express) on site.
Finals:
The A- and B-Finals will take place in the same day as the heats during the afternoon
session except for relays and the events with direct final. The finals of the events 3+4 will
take place on Saturday afternoon after the final of event 19. For some events only an A-Final
will take place. The B-Final always starts before the A-Final.
Direct finals for all age categories:
Events 1 and 2, 6 and 7
A- and B-finals for the fastest 20 swimmers of the heats,
regardless of age category:
Events 8 to 21 and 25 to 34.
A-finals only for the 10 fastest swimmers/teams:
Events 3 to 5 and 22 to 24
Jury:
The Jury consist of qualified judges of the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Natation et de
Sauvetage (FLNS). The referees and starters are listed on the actual FINA-Lists.
Officials meeting:
The officials meeting will be held on Friday, January 30th, 2015 one hour before the start of
the competition in the official’s room.
Competition Office:
The competition office is located on the pool level next to the diving platforms and the starting
centre. The competition office will be at the team leader’s disposal for withdrawals, protests
and other technical information.

Pool:
The competition pool is a 50m pool with 10 lanes, depth is 2,20m all through and the water
temperature is 26°C. Time keeping is realized by el ectronic OMEGA timing.
Additionally, a six lane 50m training pool and a 25m warm-up pool are available in the same
building throughout the meeting.
Prizes:
The OC offers more than 20.000 Euro of prize money.
In the age group “Open“ prize money will be paid to the first three athletes in the A-Finals of
each event and for the first three relay teams.
1st: 300 €
2nd: 200 €
3rd: 100 €
For records the following prizes will be given:
World Record*: 3.000 €
European Record*: 2.000 €
Meet Record* **: 300 €
For team classification the following prizes
will be given:
1st: 800 €
2nd: 400 €
3rd: 200 €
In the age groups “Junior“ and “Youth” medals will be awarded to the first three swimmers in
each event. To get the prizes and medals the time standards fixed by the OC must be
reached.
* Prize money for records is not cumulative.
** Prize money for meet records is paid for the best performance of each athlete once per
event.
Program:
The competition will take place according to the preliminary program joined in the invitation
and available on the website. The starting times of the races may be changed depending on
the number of entries. The detailed preliminary schedule of the competition will be published
on the official website one (1) week before the beginning of the event and distributed in the
welcome bags upon arrival.

Qualifying event:
The Euro Meet 2015 is an FINA approved qualifying event for the 16th FINA World
Championships 2015 in Kazan/RUS.
Registration:
Please refer to the separate document “Online registration procedure” available on the Euro
Meet website. This document explains how to register for the 17th Luxembourg Euro Meet
via the online registration form which is available under the link app.euromeet.lu.
Please note that registration by e-mail is not possible.
From November 3rd, 2014 every team or federation can register for the 2015 Euro Meet by
filling in the registration form under the link app.euromeet.lu.
Results:
In the aquatic centre a free wireless internet access will be available and you may download
the results from the official website www.euromeet.lu immediately after the end of the race.
The results will also be published at three different points in the pool next to the 25m warmup pool, below the stands on the first floor and beside the welcome desk. There will be a livetiming available on our website www.euromeet.lu.
Rules/Regulations:
The 17th Luxembourg Euro Meet 2015 will be held under the rules of FINA and the
Luxembourg Swimming Federation (FLNS). Every swimmer who is registered through his/her
team, club or national federation, which is as well registered with FINA, can participate.
Starting Centre/Call rooms:
The starting centre is located behind the diving pool (except for the 50m races) and consists
of two chambers. Athletes are fully responsible to be on time at the starting centre. Please
always check the actual race program while the competition is running.

Only a maximum of 3.000 entries can be accepted to guarantee a smooth competition.
The OC reserves the right to exclude entries after closing of registration.
Team classification:
For the team classification the 30 best results of each team except relay results (according to
the FINA point table) realised only in the heats will be considered. For the teams having less
than 30 starts all results will be considered.
The team realising the highest total point score will receive 800 €, the second classified team
400 € and the third team will get 200 €.
The team classification prize ceremony takes place on Sunday afternoon before the start of
the afternoon session. Each team ranked 1st till 3rd shall send at least 4 representatives to
participate in this ceremony.
Technical Meeting:
The official technical meeting for all team leaders will be held on Friday, January 30th, 2015 at
14.00 o’clock at the VIP-area on the 1st floor next to the entrance of “La Perla” restaurant.
Training and warm-up:
Warm-up and training in the competition pool is possible from Friday to Sunday from 1½ hour
until 15 minutes before the start of each session:
Provisional schedule:
Friday: 14h30 – 15h45
Saturday: 7h00 – 8h15 and 15h30 – 16h45
Sunday: 7h00 – 8h15 and 14h30 – 15h45
In the 6x50m training pool training is only possible as follows:
Thursday from 15h00 – 21h00, only with in-advance reservation with the OC,
Friday from 08h00 until 30 min. after the end of the competition,
Saturday and Sunday from 7h00 until the end of the competition.
If training is requested outside the above mentioned times, this can only be arranged by
contacting the OC duly in advance.

Victory Ceremony:
Victory ceremonies for the finals will take place immediately after the finals. The three first
athletes of every A-Final are reminded not to leave the mixed zone until the victory ceremony
is finished.
Victory ceremonies for the age groups take place during the heats in the morning. Athletes
participating at the victory ceremonies are requested to come immediately to the podium
after having been requested to do so by the announcer. Presence at the respective
ceremonies is mandatory. Prices will not be handed out if a swimmer misses his/her
ceremony.
Withdrawals:
Withdrawals from A- and B-Finals must be declared in writing to the competition office not
later than 30 minutes after the display of the results. Late withdrawals or no show will be
fined in accordance with the FINA rules.
