Marseille: a city open to the world!
Nestled between sea and hills, Marseille is an amazing city that moves with the seasons and
passions. Nobody can resist its unique charms! Founded 2600 years ago, Marseille is one of the
oldest city in France, that combines the richness of a unique heritage, an intense cultural life,
and an exceptional location. Here, life is easy going: easy to live, easy to like, and there are lots
of discoveries and activities to do…
Marseille is a city like nowhere else in France or even in the world! The city is as affectionate as rebellious.
Its contradictions makes it very interesting to live in…
The town hold lots of advantages: sea, sun, nature, culture, sports etc. Despite its status as second largest
city of France, Marseille stay welcoming and with an easy access to the ones who want to discover her.
With over 300 days of sunshine per year, the summer starts early in Marseille. The Mistral – a dry and cold
wind- blows 90 days per year. The mean temperature is : Spring: 19°C – Summer: 25°C – Autumn: 14°C –
Winter: 12°C.
Marseille, by its history and location, has always been the
doorway to north Mediterranean space. Theres is a lot of
immigration and multiculturalism, especially from French
former African colonies. This caused the city to make some
space for foreign cultures, but communities get along well with
each others.
