Design Items Created in Greece Ας συστηθούμε! Μέσα από το ερώτημα: «Πως θα ήταν η Ελλάδα, εάν ήταν ένα σουβενίρ;» και με τρεις εκθέσεις στο ενεργητικό της (μέχρι στιγμής), η σχεδιαστική πλατφόρμα It’s all, oh so souvenir to me! συγκεντρώνει τις προτάσεις 80 και πλέον Ελλήνων σχεδιαστών γύρω από τον επαναπροσδιορισμό και επανασχεδιασμό του Ελληνικού σουβενίρ! Η ιδέα γεννήθηκε το καλοκαίρι του 2013 και από τότε η δουλειά της πλατφόρμας φιλοξενήθηκε σε πολλούς διαφορετικούς χώρους (Ματαλού at home, Gallery Vamiali, Sterna Nisyros Art Residence), ενώ τον περασμένο Μάρτιο (2015) εμπνεύστηκε από τα εκθέματα και φιλοξενήθηκε στο Πωλητήριο του Μουσείου Μπενάκη. Το αποτέλεσμα, δεκάδες ευφάνταστες, πρωτότυπες, ευρηματικές προτάσεις! Μια μεγάλη γκάμα αντικειμένων που προσεγγίζει εκ νέου το σουβενίρ και προβάλλει μέσα από ποικίλα κοινωνικά, πολιτικά και πολιτισμικά θέματα μια νέα ελληνική ταυτότητα και εικόνα. It’s all, oh so souvenir to me! Μια on-going κατάσταση που μεταβάλλεται, εμπλουτίζεται και αλλάζει με την προσθήκη νέων αντικειμένων και νέων σχεδιαστών. Έχοντας πάντα στόχο να παντρέψει το εγχώριο δημιουργικό δυναμικό (τους Έλληνες σχεδιαστές) με τα ντόπια υλικά και τα μέσα παραγωγής, δημιουργώντας μια σειρά από μικρά αντικείμενα, τύπου σουβενίρ, μόνο made in Greece. This is the question that brought together more than 80 Greek designers under a platform. The birth of “It’s all, oh so souvenir to me.” The result portrays a line of objects with different utilitarian value, materials, ideas and concepts, all with a focus on Greece. Different views, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives come together in an attempt to redefine the design and meaning of the traditional Greek souvenir, overturning the folklore stereotypes and introducing a new Greek identity. The designers use their own design “language”, their own means of expression and Greek materials, in order to create the Greek souvenir.
