to our attention immediately. We also expect that you will not engage in any illegal,

or stop by Guest Services if there is anything we can do to make your visit more

• Many rides at California’s Great America are dynamic and thrilling. There are
inherent risks in riding any amusement ride. For your protection, each ride is rated
for its special features, such as high speed, steep drops, sharp turns or other
dynamic forces. If you choose to ride, you accept all of these risks. Restrictions
for guests of extreme size (height or weight) are posted at certain rides. Guests
with disabilities should stop by Information located next to the Great America
Theater to pick up a Rider Safety Guide. Participate responsibly. You should be
in good health to ride safely. You know your physical conditions and limitations.
California’s Great America does not. If you suspect your health could be at risk
for any reason, or you could aggravate a pre-existing condition of any kind,
DO NOT RIDE!
• Guests with a history of recent surgery, heart trouble/high blood pressure, neck
trouble, back trouble or any other condition that may be aggravated by riding, or
who are pregnant, should carefully heed all warning signs at each ride entrance.
If you are in doubt about your ability to safely experience a ride or would like more
rider information, please request our Rider Safety Guide at Information next to
the Great America Theater. We will be happy to brief you on our Ride Admission
Policy and explain how it applies to your specific situation. We hope we can help
you enjoy your day more fully.
• All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and
seatbelts must be positioned and fastened properly, and tightened securely, to
allow guests to ride.
• Most rides cannot accommodate loose articles, including cell phones, pagers,
hats, cameras, stuffed animals, purses, backpacks, umbrellas, beverage
containers, personal entertainment devices, etc. Items must be safely secured
in cargo pockets, a waist pack, left in a locker, placed in an article bin at the ride
location or left with a non-rider. Ride Operators are not responsible for these
items. Glasses must be secured on all rides. For safety reasons, taking pictures,
videotaping and filming on rides is prohibited. California’s Great America is not
responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
• Supervise children at all times. A guest’s height is an important safety factor on
many rides and attractions. Children may be measured and receive a wristband,
if qualified, at Information. For the safety of your child, a standard play shoe that
does not contribute excessively to the child’s height is required. For example, a
child is not permitted to wear platform shoes to help meet a height requirement.
California’s Great America reserves the right to ask that shoes be removed to
ensure that a child’s height is not being artificially enhanced or manipulated.

Same Day Re-entry Hand stamps are available at designated exit turnstiles
when leaving the Park. Guests must have their hand stamped for re-entry.
To re‑enter the Parking Lot, display your Parking Ticket on your dashboard. One (1)
re‑entry per vehicle.
Supervising Companion Many of our rides have height requirements
that allow a guest under that requirement to ride with a Supervising
Companion. A Supervising Companion is someone who meets all requirements to
ride themselves, is 16 years of age or older and demonstrates appropriate observed
behavior. Supervising Companions must be 18 years of age at Great Barrier Reef and
Thunder Raceway.
Smoking For the convenience of all of our guests, smoking of any kind,
including vapor and e-cigarettes, is allowed only in designated areas. Please
refer to the map for locations.
Separated Parties Please stop by Information located near the Great
America Theater for assistance. Park Security is available to assist with
locating young children.
Family Care Center Located in Planet Snoopy, Family Care Center reunites
missing parents with their children and also provides infant changing stations,
nursing area and other child services.
KidTrack Parents can obtain complimentary wristbands at Information. The
wristband can be used to help reunite you with your child in the event your
group is separated. See Information next to the Great America Theater for more
information regarding this program.
Lost & Found Lost and Found articles can be claimed at Security Services.
Unclaimed articles are donated to charity or destroyed after 14 days.
Should you lose an article on a ride, please see a Ride Host for assistance.
California’s Great America is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Loose Articles Please secure all loose articles before riding our rides. Do not
ride with any valuable or unsecured items. Should you need assistance with a
lost article, please see a Ride Host. California’s Great America is not responsible for
lost or stolen items, including items left in the bins at Ride Locations.
Inclement Weather/Rain Policy Some attractions may be closed in bad
weather until conditions permit safe operation. Please enjoy a show, meal or
shopping until such weather passes. Sorry, no rainchecks or refunds once you
have entered the Park.
Guests with Disabilities Guests with disabilities should stop by Information
located next to the Great America Theater to pick up a Rider Safety Guide. This
free guide explains the entry guidelines and procedures, provides specific information
related to each attraction and includes an Attraction Boarding Pass which is required
for special access accommodations. A limited number of wheelchairs are available
for rental on a first-come, first-served basis at the Front Gate lockers by the Main
Entrance. TTD phones are available at First Aid.
First Aid/Security Located in the Red Schoolhouse next to 3 Point
Challenge and in Boomerang Bay across from Great Barrier Reef. First Aid is
staffed by certified Emergency Medical Technicians at all times. Medication cannot
be dispensed to minors without parental consent. If you need medical assistance
tell any Park Employee and he or she will call First Aid and have them come to
your location.
Park Information
Rides that generally have low to medium speeds and/ or
heights with moderate motion and braking. Riders may
encounter unexpected changes in direction and/or speed
during portions of the ride.
Rides that generally have medium to high speeds and/ or
heights with moderate to rapid braking. Riders may
encounter unexpected changes in speed, direction
and/ or elevation.

will encounter many unexpected rapid changes in speed,
direction and/or elevation.

and braking. Rides have smooth transitions with some
changes in elevation and speed.

To better assist you in choosing attractions you wish to experience, each of our
rides has been rated according to the following system. Ratings are based on the
intensity, speed and directional changes of each individual ride. The attraction’s
rating can be found on the Rider Safety Guide sign at the entrance of each ride.
Please be aware of the recommendations and restrictions for any attraction you
choose to ride.
Ride Rating System
Alcoholic Beverage Policy Guests must be at least 21 years of age to
purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages at California’s Great
America. Valid state issued identification or valid Drivers License is required
for each person purchasing, possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted while in line for any ride. Alcohol service
stops one hour prior to the Park closing.
Where Are You? It is important to arrange a meeting place should your
party get separated. We suggest Carousel Columbia in Celebration Plaza.
Park paging is done only for verified medical emergencies, security and first aid.
Line Breaking To ensure that all guests have a fair opportunity to enjoy
rides as quickly as possible, line jumping is not allowed. Line jumping,
regardless of the reason, may lead to ejection from the Park, with no refund
given. California’s Great America defines line jumping as: 1. Cutting in front of
other guests who are already in line; 2. Saving a place for someone; or 3. Leaving
a line, then attempting to re-enter at the same point. Since this includes using
the restroom or purchasing food or drink, we suggest you make all stops before
you enter the line.
Security Please ask any Security Officer stationed throughout the Park
for assistance at any time or ask any Park Employee to contact Security
and they will come to you.
Strollers and Wheelchairs Strollers and wheelchairs are available to
rent at the Front Gate lockers by the Main Entrance. Limited supply. Firstcome, first-served.
