HISTORY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN SLOVAKIA:
1949 – Establishing of state public transport operators (CSAD)
1995 – Dividing state transport companies on public transport and cargo
2003 – privatisation of the 17 companies from state to private sector
2005 – change of responsiblity for regional and city public transport
from the Ministry of transport to Local authorities and regions
2008 – contracting for new 10 years period with the cities and regions

valid from 1.2.2007:
„Self-goverment in region or city in urban transport has to pay to
operator his loss, if operator vindicate its origin and he can advocate
its amount and he has not caused this loss himself.“
